  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Removed all rear badging (except Genesis Emblem) to keep them guessing that much more :-)

Now just lose the Genesis Richmond brackets...unless you enjoy providing free advertising :)

Exactly. See the thread about frames or naked. Plenty of nice frames available for pretty cheap. At least the frames is easily swapped compared o some of the letting some dealers use.

I ended up going naked - removed the dealer covers

For gas mileage, maybe you guys should mention if you use AWD or RWD. Mileage seems significantly different between the two.
Everything is AWD except for the 2.0 Sport. I haven't seen anyone post that they owned that model yet.

Thats what i originally was going to order. But the lure of awd and brown leather changed my mind. This is my first automatic car in 15 yrs

No self closing trunk, such a first world problem.

You say that, but it is the feature I miss the most from my 5 series.

Makes it so much easier to keep finger prints off the paint on the trunk lid. Maybe it is because it is so new still, but the spring is really strong on the G70 and it is hard to use the handle to pull it all the way closed without having it pop back up. At least my kids and wife can't seem to do it often.

Use your muscles and slam that trunk! :D

2 annoyances and actual complaints, and I'm not being picky:

1. Radio channel selection: when you are in the radio screen, where you see all your channels, you scroll the button on your steering wheel up and down to move up and down on your saved channel list. But if you are not in the radio screen, say you are in navigation, the effect is reversed. You scroll up to go down the list and down to go up, drives me nuts.

2. The map doesn't display some major road names properly. Say when you are approaching a larger road up ahead, the map wouldn't tell you the name of the road you are going to hit. You will have to scroll the map to the left/right quite a bit to find the name of that road. It does not show you the name in the middle of the screen right on the intersection (or slight off to the side) as it should.

I only use android auto, so i haven't noticed any of that. But i have noticed that the auto engine shut down is really random. It wont shut down some times and sometimes does and turns back on within seconds without me touching anything

This is the same with my 2016 Genesis. So they've been doing this since 2015 Genesis model year. You have to get used to it.

I definitely agree with the first one.

Haven't noticed that on the second one, but I don't like that once you zoom out to 400m you lose all the side roads. That is too soon imo and you lose too much detail. Also, I in other vehicles I use the auto setting for zoom but on the G70 it isn't very good as it chooses the zoom based on the road you are on vs speed you are driving. So on a freeway, it zooms out to 3.2km even if I am stopped. And at that zoom, you can't see most overpasses coming up because you are zoomed out too far. That could definitely use some work.

Android auto definitely solves the problem aside from using up the data on my work phone too fast...
