  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Electric GV70

They are a very attractive wheel...but so are the 20" OEM wheels.
I love the way my GV70e rides with the 20" wheels. Perhaps it is because the camera can watch for bumps and adjust the ride. We have several speed bumps in our neighbourhood and I like the way I can slow down as I approach with the regenerative braking, smoothly go over the bump, then accelerate. Going for a larger wheel may affect the smooth ride.
Agreed on the ride quality, anyone who has driven in the Montreal area can't avoid noticing just how bad the roads are around here, yet somewhat the eGV70 makes it a breeze with 20-inchers, a feat I did not think possible.

Sweet! I think it’s a good deal. I had about $2000 off the MSRP for my 2023 egv70 (I also leased). The exterior color wasn’t my preference, I was waiting on a Maluku grey but I really wanted the white interior and I wasn’t seeing one not in limbo of transit in the mid Atlantic region. Enjoy!
Just to follow up - I'm picking up the vehicle tomorrow - they had to re-do their offer as lease rates changed the beginning of the month....it worked out fine as the dealer is now offering an additional $1000 off in addition to their original offer....

Hey everyone. Lurking - I leased the electrified last month off the lot and definitely a fan. Kinda annoyed at the CarPlay integration. Also getting used to the regenerative breaking. Great car so far!

Congrats! When you start the car and get driving right away, sometimes you can't change the regenerative braking setting for a few minutes. I even have seen no regeneration available at all (Stuck at level zero) on occasion, but that was right after unplugging the car (So maybe it was disabled for a few minutes because the battery was topped off and couldn't take any more charge).

That's a bit disconcerting when it happens (Especially when you're rolling towards a stop sign and are counting on switching to i-pedal mode to stop but instead get a yellow message saying you can't change that setting right now), but it only lasts a few minutes.

Enjoy your new ride!

From what I've experienced so far, you cannot change the regen level if the car is not in motion and/or if you're riding the brakes. You need to have your foot on the accelerator (even gently) in order to adjust the regen level. And as most of you also know, the car will not remain in Max Regen (iPedal) or Regen Level 0 after switching off the ignition. So if your preference is Max Regen (or 0 Regen), you do have to deliberately put it back into those settings after you drive off.

I can't find the other thread that mentioned this, but for those who were concerned about brake lights not coming on immediately when releasing the throttle, there's a TSB out now for a software update that addresses it. Brought both my eGV70s in to get it done yesterday. Took 10 minutes each.

Thanks for the info! Mine showed a message a new map update was available a few days ago, I'll have that done at the same time as I take it in for winter wheels (And fix some bubbles in the wrap, plus the ICCU recall) in October, but this could have been a nice over-the-air update...

I recently tried the adaptive cruise in stop-and-go traffic, it was doing a surprisingly good and smooth job.

@Wolf359fb, it's the "ICCU Software Update and Fuse Replacement" that was done on my car, so I don't think it could have been done OTA. The reference number is "30D074", if that helps.

Oh for the ICCU I'm pretty sure that recall can't be performed OTA, it's the map update that would have been nice to get that way, instead of bringing the car in or fiddling with a USB stick...!

@Jaws, I am considering the same for my GV70 EV, but I am not sure what to do about TPMS. Did you purchase TPMS sensors from Genesis dealership?

On a bit of an unrelated topic to tires, but still relevant to our cars, the latest update of Android Auto is now supporting digital keys using NFC in North America.

However the Genesis Digital Key App on the Play store still says it's not available in my region, I wonder how long it will take Genesis to unlock that feature which could be pretty useful...

The digital key/NFC would be great. There are so many useful features not available in NA - I would like to be able to use the Surround View Monitor within the Genesis Connected app.

But you already can use the Surround View Monitor on the app. I've been using it on all my GV70s, even the gasoline versions.

I wonder if it was meant as seeing live footage vs requesting pictures?

One feature I saw that is available in South Korea is the augmented reality view, where navigation instructions with dynamic arrows superimposed on top of the front camera view are displayed on the center screen, that would be very cool to have here too!

Oh you're probably right. I remember seeing something like that in a Korean video.

I’m reading with interest the reports of failed upper strut mounts in some gas cars. So, will we see failures with the EV version given it is 500+ lb more than the gassers or did Genesis upgrade the part for the EV? If it is an upgraded part it should have a different part number. Genesis doesn’t appear to be covering the failure under warranty as they contend the owners have hit something. I’d expect to see lower control arm, wheel and tire damage long before the failure of a cast part.
