Entry Level Luxury - Which is best?

Maybe its just me, but I think the Genesis looks a lot like the M with its soft curves and greenhouse lines.

If the LS and the M had a child it would look like the Genesis. But I think you're right, the car it resembles the most on the exterior is the M.

Most people think "bay Bentley". Regarding the M. I drove an '07 M35X for three years. Till the day we parted I LOVED the woodwork and the functionality of the instrumentation (except the nav controller), which, alas, far surpasses my 4.6 Tech. The quality of the console split, telescoping armrest was solid, the leather felt much better and the rear armrest didn't feel like a shoe box wrapped in leather. None-the-less, I think the Genesis is a beauty with style and quality well worth the money.

You said the key words. . . . . . "well worth the money"! We're talking about upper 30's to low 40's, vs. upper 40's to low 50's. Both well worth the money. But the Hyundai's value is becoming more and more evident. True it is a little vanilla, but it works.

I love the interior of my '06 M35X but I think the Hyundai is more luxurious. I find the layout of the M is nice and love the wood. The new M looks awfully familiar on the inside except for that funny looking steering wheel.
However, getting that 8 cylinder model is going to push the price into Benz territory. In Canada the M56 will cost almost 20K more than a 4.6!

IMO, there is nobody that can hang with the Hyundai Genesis price/luxury wise for a sedan.

GS350 and V8 Genesis comparison was done on Edmunds. The GS was faster to 60.

Not according to Car and Driver. V8 is significantly quicker. These times are pretty much spot on to a BMW 550i V8.
