Estimated prices

I am sorry but the only way this will be worth it is if the car is much cheaper than that.

I honestly would be looking for starting in the high teens (16k base) low 20's for the 2.0T Track model, and would not expect much more than 25k for the V6 Track model.

This car has to be CHEAP, or it will not sell the number of units Hyundai is forcasting it will sell.

If any model breaks the 30K model then it is no longer worth it; After all this IS a Hyundai.. I would much rather go buy a lease retrun 370, G35, GTO, G8, 50Z, IS250, WRX, Evo etc. for 30k than buy a Hyundai.. as would 99% of the buyer market.. Only worth if it is cheap as hell.. You would think they learned that from the Tiberon..

you are completely clueless man, just a hyundai this, just a hyundai that..use your head when you comparing. this car is nowhere near what the tib was...and for you to involve pontiacs says a lot, even for a car that in a few months will only offer 3 models.a company that needed a bailout, etc..etc. and a g35 or 37 is a rebadged Z, an is250 a souped up corolla.

but anyway the coupe starts at 18-19 for the 2.0 I4t up to 26 for the 3.8 v6. the original price on this threads initial post is the pricing for the sedan. i hate when clowns beat on hyundai like all the cars they mentioned have always been on the top of their game. nissan(datsun), hondas and toyotas which represent 4 of the cars you just mentioned were all garbage cars back in the day, when they got good and raised prices, guess what people payed..why is it that hyundai cant do the same...same ignorant talk.

if thats how you or anyone else feel, why be on a hyundai site?, why search hyundai?, why look at em??
if i really thought something wasnt worth it i wouldnt spend 1 red cent on it much less 20 plus k. your on here for a reason so dont beat up a product you obviously are clueless about but yet are interested in.

Why do you think theres no such think as infiniti, lexus or acura overseas???? Y..because they know americans are all status driven so lets put more woodgrain and chrome, tighten the suspension up a bit and rebadge these cars and add 20 grand, their lol'in all the way to the bank on most of you. most of the parts on these cars are shared parts that ALL manufacturers use. is it gonna just say F it im not gonna work cuz im in a hyundai..lol..please. please make sense when making ridiculous comments. what CHEAP manufacturers or non quality manufacturers can spend 15 million dollars on just superbowl commercials...where were the commercials for all those cars you just mentioned?? whos went from 12th largest manufacturer to 5th in a year and a half. who doesnt care if they lose money when you bring your car back if you lose your job in a year and thinking about giving people a 4 year lee-way in future? All your so-called giants aint offering you nothing but higher prices at the store, the gas station (premium gas) and service depts with their weak warranties. once again, clueless. have a good one, you need more info..ill give it to you.

Oh boy. Someboy had a bad day. LOL

Ok. You are bashing that guy because he is cluelss. Well the Infiniti is a rebadged Z is kind of same from you.

Have you sit in both and drive both?

Do you know the history of the Z and the v35 v36 skyline? From your post it looks like not.

The 2 car have totally different caracters. Both cars are existing in Japan. V35,v36 nissan skyline has a really good pedigree and in the other hand the Z got good pedigree too.

Have you seen owners of the g35 to rebadge it to skyline with the Nissan sign? Not everybody is a brandwhore.

You sir were stereotyping.

BTW "overseas" comment were wrong too. Since Europe is part f "overseas". Infiniti is in Europe too.

I don't even want to go on commenting the is250 being a souped up corolla.

You are wrong again like usuall. maybe always. LOL

Here is the article talking about the coupe price being 33k. I wasn't the one who wrote the article and I just asked the question about the price.

You still stereotyping and shouting out to everybody. You sir have serious anger problem you should seek some professional help.

Maybe you should go for a group threapy. LOL:welcome:

You bitching about people say stupid things about Hyundai and at the same time you say even worse things about other car.

Don't forget this is internet arguing on internet is like winning the paralimpic game. You are the winner but you still a retard.;)

Good day sir.

what anger problem? dont get mad at me because im proud and know the true path that hyundai is going after, i do sell these cars you know. if you are going to argue and whine bout the pricing and this and that of the car, then beat it. go interest yourself in other cars because you dont have an idea. i myself do. your going to argue pricing with someone that sells the dang things, why would the coupe be priced like the much bigger, more powerful SEDAN. you shouldve known better anyway. calling me retarded is another issue for you to decide. i never knew a former air traffic controller could be retarded. or maybe i am because i keep responding to you, so im done.

Well, if you yourself paid attention you would see that auto123 is a Canadian web site, which shows prices.

Who's wrong and retarded now?

If you paid attention I never mentioned it is US price. ;)Just you to know I am from Canada. LMAO

Always assuming ha. I don't care about US price asince that is not for me. Hope that clears the cloud inside.

How many of us had bad experience with a dealer's knowledge. How many times they are wrong about the cars they are selling? Just check out the section where the dealers experiences or visit some other forums with little more history.

For the record anybody can be retard. I myself have a diploma. In your book I am a retard or Gimlies. The differences between you and me is I just don't care what you think about me.

For the record that the old saying about arguing online/retard is a common forum tool you can see that in other well estabilished forums . It is for a reminder it is only a forum and the arguing takes you nowhere .

Online forums are great to share/change ideas , conserns. If I have a concern about the price of a new car don't see what your problem is with that.

Nobody asked you to come to the thread I started and start an argument. Simple as it is. Have nothing good info to say. Just stay out. Simple as it is.

:grouphug:

Let me be the first one though if you feel I offended you. I appologies. I just wanted to open your eyes to show you, you did the exact same thing what you cried about. I guess I did not suceed. Lets move on.;)

I think Priority is saying that there are still a lot of folks out there who have skewed perceptions when it comes to Hyundai. Most people still think that Hyundai is a crap company and shouldn't charge anything more than 5K for any of their cars. This attitude is prevalent in this thread (especially with Gadfly) to which I believe Priority is trying to counter. Correct me if I'm wrong, Priority.

gladly, ur exactly right, i wasnt even referring to this clown pms1234 or whatever his name is, i was going at the guy who kept referring to cheap as hell this and that. he decided to save him like he was his girl or something so i countered. also ive been salesman of the year for 3 consecutive years so i have a clue on what im talking about. call priority hyundai in chesapeake, virginia and ask for yourself.

I think you are absolutely right. The problem is the type of threads like this will be scaring potential members away. It was absolutely unnecessery from my point too no just from his. I could of just smile on his comment and walk away. I just felt I should open his eyes so he can see he did the same.

Nothing wrong with yundai and their product. They moving to the right way. Most people still remember what Hyundai used to be 10 years ago. Everybody has to realise it takes awhile forgetting bad memories. Human brain tends to remeber bitter memories lot longer.

To be honest with you I believe that's why Hyundai have to sell right now on the lower side. Once more people realize how good they are. They will buy into it.

That's why some members say it is too much they go than with Camaro or used g37,etc,etc, Hyundai has to drive this out of evrybodies head. Only thing changes people's mind quik is the low price. They have to do it in a fast pacew to estabilish Hyundai in North Amirkan market as a high quality car manufacturer because others coming. I would say chinese will be in 4-5 years. Maybe earlier if they smart enough and buy one of the big 3. They are already pushing the Europian market. It is just a matter of time till they come overhere. It looks like chinese automakers learn quick. So it won't take long to get good quality cars out from the line. Just a thought.

Maybe you guys disagree but that's how what I think.

TaddO2 thanks for the #'s. Looks like the article was bang on with the 33k for the v6. Maybe it wasn't estimated price they were just not allowed to say it as official price.

If these #'s are for real than Hyundai is not the cheapest 300 hp car. Camaro is. 26995 Canadian. At least in Canada will see in the states. 6k cheaper than the base 3.8 coupe. The v8 would be same money as the 3.8 T ZF auto. But Camaro will have something like 422 hp.

The Camaro is going to be a hot item. A loaded V6 is going to be sticker above 30K and the V8 is going to be at or above 40k. Greedy dealers are looking for this car to be a life line to keeping there dealership afloat vs trying to sell the car in volume, thus making the same amount of money. I remember the sticker price of the top Firebird being over 30k almost 7 years ago. You can go to a lot and hope to find a G37 under 35k but chances are you wont. Hyundai will do OK in this segment. GM will simply blame it on the union for there cost of a Camaro. Performance wise the G37 and V6 Camaro are on avg. 200 and 350 heavier than the Hyundai coupe.

The one thing hyundai has over some of the other is they have lots of small car options. They can get parents on the lot looking for a cars for there kids. Hyundai is hopeful that some of those same parents will turn around and buy a car for themselves.

Kids however maybe upgrading if the Sonata looks anything like this after the Coupe is fully launched:D

(I do agree i will be hot item. What I think it will happen more people will use the internet for quote and buy instead of going local. That's become tendency with most car buyers. The buyers are smarter than ever. Well most anyways. LOL There are some who just don't think.

You are right about Hyundai being a company with fair amount of small cars. But watch out for Ford. They are not as bad as the other 2. They even have the advantage to bring more small cars in from Europe from the Europian division for a fraction of the cost of developing new cars. For some reason people go nuts if the thing is from Europe. Don't ask me why. If they bring some of the small cars from Europe that would put them in the play again for good. Some of those small cars look pretty good too. I think they will bring the Fiesta in and the Europian focus. They realized they made a mistake to take the hatcback out from the line. I'd love to see the Europian Focus here.
Sorry for getting out of topic. LMAO

I think Hyundai has a great future if they keep doing what they do right now. But they have to be quick because others comming. They have to move out from the "cheap" status. I see smart shoppers already realized it but more people have to realize this before Ford and some others wake up and bring more small cars in. Hope to see some small diesel engines too paired with turbo. Good fuel milage and great power long lasting. I rather see some diesel than all these blinking hybrid.

Nice pics by the way.

These are all great point. I think this is why Hyundai launched the Genesis sedan, coupe, 2010 sonata and the Equus, which should be a low volume selling flagship. Even Ford can't bring all that to the table before Hyundai.

It was a smart move on hyundai's part of having a 4 banger large coupe.
Performance wise the G37 and V6 Camaro are on avg. 200 and 350 heavier than the Hyundai V6 coupe.

Yeap you are right on the spot. I think the Genesis launch was good timing. I think even the economy will play a favour to Hyundai With the Genesis. But we will see.

With the coupe I'll love how the aftermarket is already waiting to jump on it here in North America. I believe the coupe will have giant aftermaket base in no time. Sure it helped they came out earlier in Korea and they work out most of the little problems there and aftermarket is already existing in korea before they come here North America. That is just unheard with any Jap cars.

i've had this argument with my good buddy for about a month now.

i just DO NOT see the Camaro SS selling at 28K. the car is being reinvented and is coming equipped with a sick 422hp LS3 engine in it. no freakin way that car sells at anything LESS than 35K.
