I got a recall notice from Genesis about corrosion on the ABS module, possible fire risk. Some are saying not to park it in your garage. Not much information beyond that.
The Holley Terminator X is a great engine management system. Took me about 3 weeks to remove the old harness, figure out what wires I still need, adapt the Holley harness to the TBird. Had to add a fuel and oil pressure sensors, replace the stock coolant and manifold air temp sensors. The 33 year old engine harness had a few issues and was at the end of it's life cycle by a decade.
I mounted the computer in my vertical console by the shifter and replaced my clock with the new monitor. Turned out pretty good. They show you mounting the computer under the passenger seat but it has 9 troubleshooting lights you might want to see.
They say the system is "self learning", not really. I was lucky and found a tuner on the Holley Terminator X Forum. All he works on are Holley systems. The average idiot like me would end up beating their heads on the floor in frustration trying to start it. Had to remove my vacuum reservoir because it interfered with the computer MAP sensor. The car would not start. This is not in the book. You better know what cam, injectors, timing you have for the programing. Don't guess it. So far we have about 7hrs in the programing. I have my laptop hooked up and Andrew operates it remotely from Kansas. All tuning is done in real time. Then I drive it during the week, Andrew copies the data file, does his magic, and installs the new tune. Each time the car runs better. Had to change my 70mm throttle body and install my 65mm. Idle smoothed out. Relocated the MAT sensor from the intake to my BBK cold air intake, before the throttle body, because it was getting too warm. Got the A/C recharged today so now I need the A/C input for idle and output for WOT assigned. I think I will be done! With tuning I have about $2000 in it.
