  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Simply ran wires to the fuse box and tapped off the headlight washer and put an inline 20a fuse then made a connection to the ground. I picked up the correct connectors from amazon. Using a lift and removing the bottom, front engine cover the whole job took 35 min. The lights go on when the car is running and shut of when the car is shut off. No switch or relay is used.

That's awesome! So now you have LEDs that are on all the time instead of only when the headlights are on like V8s. Very nice...

If I get a V6, I'm flying you down to Florida to do mine. :p I'll find a way to seize the engine and blow the transmission trying to do the installation myself...

Thanks. They are actually pretty bright at night.

That looks awesome... do you have part numbers for the led's and anything else you used to get this done? I just took delivery today and would really like to have this mod.

joey z400 what was total cost for fog lights

Look on amazon. Yeah they are my DRL's but I also turn on the eyelids during the day. It looks better than the yellow signals to me.

So you can do it without taking off the bumper? Nice! Now to factor the parts into my budget.

Joey, Great job Thanks for the information.

Glad I could help some of you guys. Sorry I can't be more specific, I'm not a mechanic and explained it the best I could.

joeyz400 --- Thanks again for the input. My parts should arrive this coming week. Looking forward to getting the fog lamps installed. Have you installed the LED front door sill plates on your Genesis? I ordered a pair for mine, and was wondering if you have already done that also

I asked my dealer about installing fog lights. They said the 2015 3.8 is not set up for fog lights and there was no OEM part for the 2015 3.8. They also informed me that if I wired the lights myself I could void the warranty.
I hope there is a way round this as I really want the fog lights.

He is lying. True there is no harness already in place but you could just run your own wires. The fog lights themselves are a standard fit as the 5.0. Direct bolt in.

Got both the LED Fog Lamps and Door Sill plates installed at a local 'sound installation' shop for $150. They the wires for both the Fog Lamps & the Door Sills straight to the fuse box. Both really look great. The Fog Lamps are on whenever the power is on. The Door Sills work off the door lights, so they are off when the door is closed and on when it's open.

Get a new dealer.

If you order this part: http://www.ebay.com/itm/171715662714?rmvSB=true
It will give you full OEM fog-light functionality from the drivers seat.

The wiring exists all the way to the front of the car. At the connector on the car side that connects the bumper cover to the car, there are a a pair of orange and black wires dedicated to the fog-lights. Splice into those and add a waterproof connector. Make a new wiring harness that connects that connector to the fog-lights and zip tie it to the existing harness and make a connection to the OEM fog-lights you can order off ebay and you are done.

I was able to get my dealer to install my replacement multi-function switch (turn-signal stalk) for $130. It works as if it was on a 5.0 V8. I'm still pricing out making the new wiring harness to make the final connection.
