  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

What a perfectly good waste of rubber!

Lots of fun if you are not paying for expensive tires, brakes and wear and tear on drive-line components.

What was funny about when I was doing these burnouts, after I did the first one everyone wanted to slap their camera on aswell. I had a guy shoot with a DSLR on the side and also had my camcorder for the roof shots. The second burnout you see more cams attached to the rear side area. Even Slash Gear got in on the fun:

Did you really have to hold the brakes that long to get it to burn out?

I know in my '12 R Spec, I turn ESC off by the switch, I hold the brakse, hit the gas, then let off the brakes completely and can smoke the tires like crazy, for a lot longer than what you did.

So that's why I'm asking the question.

this is why u dont buy demo/media/exec cars... they get trashed & #cked

I just did small controlled powerbrake burnouts. Not to make too many excuses but I purposely did not want to go too crazy for a few reasons. 1) I commandeered this car from another drive pair as it was the V8 and I did not want to wreck. 2) There were a lot of other Genesis' around in this parking area so not a lot of room and I did not want to wreck and 3) There was a few Hyundai folks around and I did not want to wreck. I didn't want to be seen on YouTube as "the guy who wrecked or broke a 2015 Genesis". lol ;).

Basically after getting some initial tire spin I would ease off the brakes slowly and then go for about 15-20 feet and ease off the accelerator. I tried to keep as much control as possible because of the above mentioned reasons.

LOL.

Good thing you didn't wreck it. ;)
