  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I was exiting off of 295 and up ahead i saw the left turn light was green. Gave her some gas when the cop in opposite lane bust a u turn over the median to get me. Whats funny was the first thing out of his mouth. "is this one of those tesla cars" i said no sir. Then he proceeded to write my ticket all the while telling how nice my car was. I gave him the whole rundown on the car. It was a nice exchange. However its going to cost me abot 120 bucks.

That is why Genesis cars are so nice. Old and new version. With the wings, no one knows what kind of car it is. Can't wait to own one. Thank You for your post... Gotta love those on & off ramps...

This seems weird for the cop not to know the car you're in. Every dept. is different in their tech etc., but the local police in my area runs the plate prior to pulling the vehicle over so they know what they are dealing with (possible warrants, DUI's, etc.). When my friend who's a cop ran my plate the laptop the computer audibly speaks "2009 Hyundai Genesis 4.6".

Now that makes me wonder mabey he had a hidden agenda. Its also possible he had not run my plates yet. Because as soon as i saw him it his lights i was on side of road cuz i knew he was comming for me. He pulled up and immediately got out of car. Not sure how long it takes to run plates.

You are fortunate that you didn't get a ticket for illegal window tint.

Is that your first speeding ticket, or your first speeding ticket in the Genesis?

Being in the military i know alot of national guard that are police all have told me they dont care too much about tint all they care about is safty. So they told me to roll allwindows down so i follow this advice so they can see inside. This was my first speeding ticket in the genesis.

The last speeding ticket I got was for doing 19 in a 15mph zone on an Army post (Ft. Devens, MA). That was 45 years ago. Your ticket sounds more like running a light, or reckless driving, though.

Not everybody can be f@#%ing angels like you. At least i can say ive never had a speeding ticket on post.

They need to add a block replier on this app.:D

Good thing u weren't driving a Titanium Gray model. Ur ticket would have been at least double:o

And why would the ticket be doubled because of the color of the car?

Just for information, it is recommended that if you are pulled over by any law enforcement officer,

1. Never get out on the car unless you are told to by the officer.

2. Keep your hands on the wheel at the 2 and 10 o’clock position.

3. If you’re permitted to carry concealed, tell the officer as soon as he approaches the car. Also tell him if you are carrying, where the weapon is located and if it is loaded

I obtained this advice from an NRA concealed weapons course I was required to complete to apply for a concealed weapon permit

He doesn't get the color thing, but if it were black it would be tripled:eek:

Crazy titanium r spec' rs
I blasted past one the other day and he just sat there like a lump on a log. :D

MPs on military bases don't mess around with speed enforcement.
Maybe they don't now, but they sure used to. In the 70's My father in law was an Army two-star and the MP's nailed him on base going from his office to quarters. He was clocked at 37 in a 35 mph zone. Those PFC's loved stopping officers, the higher ranking the better.

I think that is what he meant. They don't mess around, they give out tickets immediately when they clock someone even slightly over speed limit.
