  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

We just spec'd out our first allocation of Genesis V8's. They should be here in the 3rd quarter of 2008. That's the most accurate info I have on the delivery date. We get 6 on the first go-round. Here's what we are getting:

1. Black Noir Pearl/Jet Black (AFBR) Pack 5
2. Titanium Gray Metallic/Jet Black (NYBR) Pack 5
3. Platinum Metallic/Jet Black (AUBR) Pack 5
4. Black Noir Pearl/Cashmere (AFM5) Pack 1
5. Cabernet Red Pearl/Cashmere (TZM5) Pack 1
6. Champagne Beige Metallic/Cashmere (ZTM5) Pack 1

Pack 1 is standard equipment, Pack 5 is Technology Package.

Oh, and we have dibs on a few more should any dealers refuse their allocation.

Happy dreaming.... ;)

Thank you. Can you post the available interior & exterior color combinations for the V8? And, do you have any idea when Hyundai will have a Genesis brochure or any of this information on their web site? Thanks again for sharing this information. We all appreciate it! :-)

Thanks for the info....

I second Goldenbrown on the color combos.

Also, I bought my wife's SF there and have referred friends who've bought their Hyundai's there at Ed Voyles. Since my buddy Kenny no longer works there, I"m trying to reach out to Mike Cotter, but he hasn't called me as of today to give me any info :(

Do you know when you're expecting to receive your V6's? I'm debating between the V6 and V8, though I'm favoring in the V8 - yum.

Here is the link to my original post with color combos. The color combos are still accurate. I didn't check the option pkgs again.

Genesis Color Combos and Option Packages

BigElm, thank you for your business. I'll bust Mike's chops a bit for you. PM me your contact info and I will make sure he contacts you. As for the V6, we expect them the first of July with V8's to follow about 2 months later.

Goldenbrown9638, the info will likely be available on the website around the time the cars are released. We currently have some mini-brochures, or teaser brochures with some pics and basic specs. Full brochures to come soon, I am sure.

BTW, if you haven't seen it, check out the Discover Genesis Tour.

Yep... problem is I'm much more visual. So color names don't do much for me, if you know what I mean :)

EVH, could you please clarify on colors and interior. In a prior post you indicated interiors were Black, Beige or Brown. In your V8 allocation post the cars listed have Cashmere as an interior. Is that Beige, or something new?

Also, can you clarify difference between Sapphire Blue and Sterling Blue. Thanks!

Cashmere is what they are calling the "beige" interior. The Sterling Blue Metallic is going to be the lighter blue. Sapphire Blue Pearl to be the darker blue, IIRC. Most of the pics on the net of the Genesis are the Saphire Blue Pearl, I believe.

Is that to say that the Genesis will not be available until Sept./Oct.?

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Everyone check this out. Go to Ebay under cars and low and behold there is a V-8 powered Genesis for sale for basically $50,000.00!

If all Hyundai dealers are going to mark-up the price of the Genesis V8 Sedan by $8,000 (purchase price of $50,000) then they have lost any interest I had in the vehicle. There are plenty of other proven automobiles out there for $50k. I am very disappointed in lack of communication by Hyundai to potential Genesis buyers...to wait all this time to find out the real price is $50k is unacceptable to me.

Only problem is they don't actually have the car. Delivery date subject to change?... Duh. And they want their $50k in 3 days even though the car may be 3-4 months out. What a joke.
To Quote the Ad:

"Vehicle is available within thirty days of auction close.... Manufacturer vehicle specs, MSRP, VIN, vehicle actual mileage and delivery date subject to change. Photos are for illustration purposes and may not represent actual vehicle."

The first 350Z sold on ebay for $90k. Relax.

Seems like you're getting too caught up with the sharks out there that are waiting for the idiot to put that much money on a Genesis just to be first.

I never concern myself of what the dealers try to mark up. Those who are willing to do business will do the right thing and not try to feed their neighborhood with their first sale.

I also have the APP to my advantage which makes the purchase process even smoother. :)

The V8 will be a little late.. The V6 should be here by the middle of July.

Don't worry. You're not going to have to spend $50k for the Genesis.. Some people will just to be first..

Thank you for the words of encouragement about potential MSRP mark-up by Hyundai dealers. Since the only good source of information is EVH, can you, EVH, provide some insight on what your dealership will be selling the vehicles for? Both the V6 and V8?
