Fog light mod

Morning everyone. Was clicking around another Genesis forum last night and came across this fog light mod for a 2010 coupe.

I was wondering if anyone has done this or knows if the wire harness would be the same for a 2010 sedan?

It really annoys me that the fogs come on only when the low beams come on and this seems simple enough to correct that problem, I just don't want to start pulling things apart and cutting them if by some chance the two cars are using different wire harness.
A follow up questions would be...does anyone have another way to get the fogs on with the DRLs instead of the lows?

It is not as easy as the coupe. The sedan does, indeed, use a different harness and system.

I'm surprised no one has figured this out yet honestly. I would screw around with it but I promised the wife I wouldn't screw around with this car too much. I need things I can do easily with no real tear down.

You were cheating on us???? Isn't this forum enough for you?

Interesting mod. But "She Who Must Be Obeyed" would take a dim view of any project I suggested that requires wire strippers and removal of interior panels. She already thinks I'm a bit nuts for replacing all the H emblems with wings, and wasn't at all amused when I suggested adding a trunk spoiler that would require the services of a body shop to prep and paint. No sense of adventure, that woman.

Also, just to clarify for the rest of the new community, DRL's didnt come until 2012

Why? Because I want to, simple as that. I like the look of when they're on, and the head lights aren't.

^ I actually used to run my fogs 100% of the time on my last car as DRL's. Loved the look without the headlights on. I know where you're coming from here. As you can see, I attempted this myself

I had an SS before this, and it had the DRL and the fogs, and yea at dusk...it looked great.
Silly Hyundai...
