  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Front parking sensor issue

I too had one of the middle-front parking sensors go bad. After driving a couple months with the blinking warning light on for about 50% of the time, i replaced them. I did have the take the bumper off the car to access, but it wasn't too bad. Didn't remove the headlights like some suggested. Replaced both middle sensors for $45/each, and it took about 2 hours.

Very common. Easily repaired. Defective front parking sensor. 15 minute job.
Hi Waki: I see lots of similar problems to my own 2012 Genesis R Spec. Front right parking sensor....3 beeps whether or not anything is in front of the car. Always happens as the car slows to a stop. Indicator green triangle shows right front. Your post says easy 15 minute job. I am very handy but cannot find any post on how to replace the sensor without removal of front bumper.

Can you help with a post or a video please?

Here is an easy thing to try before spending any money. Found this by accident. Same problem, parking sensor would come on and beep anytime I went below 10 kmh. Didn't matter if part assist was on or off. On top of this my back up camera screen was black. Went away for 3 weeks and when I came back the battery was low (6vdc). Got a boost and away I went. No more beeping when I slowed down and the camera was working again. I think I will pull the proper fuse next time, just need to find the proper fuse.

I am also having the same issue. I thought it was the front right middle sensor as it did not beep during troubleshooting. I bought a brand new OEM sensor, replaced it, still doing the same thing. I guess i have more troubleshooting to do

Hey everyone.

Not to revive this thread from the dead, but does anyone know if there is a way to disable a parking sensor in the rear.

I constantly get that annoying noise and blinking image for a rear sensor when I start my car and I don't have the money to buy a new sensor.

Pushing the parking sensor button, even off, has no effect.

Anyone know if there is a way to disconnect one, or all, of the rear sensors to keep this from happening, even at the expense of having them support me on my backup endeavors?

I suspect "disconnecting" them is exactly what's causing the beeping. It's the computers way of telling you I don't see a functioning sensor. And I think it may be caused by issues with the connectors. I'd like to get at mine, pull the connectors apart, spray a little lithium grease in them, and plug them back up. I'll bet that would fix it.
