Front turn signal bulb out 4 times

Good day all. I have a 2015 Genesis Sedan, the Signature 3.8 trim. Over last 2 years that i owned the vehicle, the right front turn light bulbs burnt out 4 times. Has anyone else had such issue? is there any checkup that needs to be done? The dealer could not find anything wrong...I live in florida, so the car did see some hot weather and no cold.

See if you can check the voltage with a multi-meter (with the turn signal on). You might also try Sylvania long life bulbs (if they are not LED's).

hmmm... interesting. I have a 2015 as well and this is the only bulb i have ever had to replace....

Funny you mentioned it... After owning it for 3 years now, both front turn signal bulbs went off one after another. Never happened to me before on my 2010 MY.

I have a '15 5.0. The right front turn signal has failed 3 times. The first 2 times it remained "out" for a few hours , then started working again. The third time I was able to get the car to the dealer, and they changed the bulb.

I have a '15 3.8. Both turn signals have gone out 3 times now, with the third time just happening this week. I thought it might be because I'm using the PIAA Extreme Whites but now after seeing this thread I guess it's not the PIAAs. Starting to look at LED options without hyperblink because I'm tired of replacing them. At 3 times in two years that is more than a once a year average. That's pretty fast turnover.

All of you have 15's... The 15's use the turn signal filament for daytime running lights, correct?

The turn signal filament is not a long life bulb, as it is designed for high brightness for the power it draws (lumens per watt)

The issue is the life of the turn signal bulb is short and they are on all the time during the day as they are used for the DRL for the 15's

That is why you have to keep replacing them.

Just turn on the headlights all the time (in my 16 you can keep them on and once you lock the car they turn off automatically and turn back on after starting the car), this way the turn signal bulbs are not on during the day. NOTE - While the HID headlights are longer life, they are more expensive to replace..... so pick your poison

PS - One of our other cars is a volvo and we have HID lights in that car, there is an option to use them as the DRL (all lights go on in the volvo for DRL so replacing bulbs is a norm), which we do use the HID's as the DRL, the long of it is that we have had the SUV now for 10 years and only had to replace the HID's once, so they last a long time! (they are on everytime we start the car)

The dealer has replaced my left twice and the right one once on my 2015 3.8 Ultimate. I, too would be interested if they could be replaced with an LED and if the Sylvanias referenced above last longer.

I so thought it was just my car. Kinda sucks that they decided to use filament bulbs where all other lights in the car are LED.

On our cars, it should be possible to move to LED with no issues other than what color you would want. Adapters used to be necessary on older cars to flash LEDs.

I tried LED and it wouldn't work without a load resistor. Remembering that you can't house it in the headlight itself, since it gets too hot, and you need to drill through the dust cap i decided against it altogether.

I've gone though about 4 replacements too (2015). Last dealer said there was corrosion in the socket...so either the previous dealer didn't put the bulb in right or the connection is failing to weather proof.

Both mine burned out within a week of each other around 36k miles. Looking for leds.
