  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Front Wrap & Tinting

thanks for the advice all. I am leaning toward 35% just because it's my first tint, and it will technically be legal.
Unless you're a drug dealer, in the mafia or regularly having coitus in your backseat (>once a week ;)) 35% VLT should work well for you.
Visible Light Transmission (VLT) is the amount of light that is allowed through the tint. It's unclear if this is outside -> inside, inside->outside or both.

The laws exist for 2 reasons.
1) Safety of LEO's to see inside vehicle. This is why metallic/mirrored tint (think ray-ban aviator chromed girl/guy watcher sunglasses) is illegal in most U.S. states.
2) Ensure drivers visibility out of vehicle is not affected (particularly at night). On rare occasions I've forgotten my glasses and driven with sunglasses at night. I cannot see much out of my 35% VLT tinted side+rear windows.
