  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Functioning Hood Vent Mod?

If Genesis thought their engine needed to run 10 degrees cooler, then they would have made the vents so that air could blow through them in the PROPER way. The engine doesn't need the 10 degree adjustment that some web forum guy thinks he figured out. All you're going to do is make for a messy and dirtier engine, not to mention introduce possible problems down the road when the dirt or water finds it's way into a electrical part etc.

Think people, think before ya mess with your car (or any other object).
What if I already have other mods on my car and need extra cooling dumb dumb not everybody like to keep the car the same think man think

I’ve had my hood vents open for 3-4 years, still haven’t had a problem at all, through heavy rain, snow piling up in there over night, driving through a large storm system moving the same direction I was on a 9 hour drive, also have my dog light open to let air in my intake, and if you remove the small lip behind the hood it has an exit for air coming in, “if hyundai this” you’re talking about a company who put way, WAY to many safety features and very under tuned this car and engine from factory, the same people who set max torque at 5500 and max power at 6400, no this car was sent out with safety in mind not performance so no they didn’t send it out with its full capabilities,
