  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

So been seeing in the news related to GM vehicles, and on the Chevy Bolt subreddit, about users getting data collected on their driving habits and their insurance rates going up. I am aware that Genesis Connected Services has data collection on vehicles, and wondering if someone with more knowledge on this topic could drop their 2 cents. Are we able to disable Genesis connected services completely if we so choose, and would there be any downsides? I personally do not pay for the connected services, remote start or nav (first gen owners didn't get it for free like 2nd gen owners do). Would we lose the HUD speed limit warnings, for instance? Would love to completely disable and avoid worrying about insurance going up, but let me know your thoughts.

Saw this relevant page in my owners manual, it says it's limited to accidents but wonder if there is other systems at play.

I am pretty sure genesis discontinued it. In my profile it says the driving score feature is off. See attached photo.

Let's just hope that means what we think it means.

Yeah…I’d like to think that but prepared to one day hear they just automatically send the data instead of opting in.
