  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

G70 Factory Service Manual

Do you know if there is a way to get to the hidden menu/ Service menu?

Since I don't know what you mean, I assume the answer is no. Haha.

Haha - I just wanted to know if you know how to access the Service menu in our G70's. In the past Genesis owners have been able to customize a lot of things under this menu.

There was a way to do it...but with recent updates to the system...nobody knows how any more.

^What he said. Hahah.

All.

The G70 Factory Service Manual, including tech bulletins and basically all the information related to our cars is available online. However, you must pay for a subscription to access it. As of today, I paid for a 1 week access pass, and I've downloaded as much information as I possibly can; but there is simply too much to get it all. Even so, I was able to get pretty much all of the shop manual info, minus some of the interior/exterior body segment, as you have to click each component individually to be able to download it, so I only got some things.

If you want to access the site, it's here....

If you want something specific, feel free to PM me and I can email you PDF's of what I've downloaded. Or I can see if I can find what you're looking for while I still have access. My access will expire on Monday, May 20th.

Also, if someone has a place we can upload what I've got, I'd be more than happy to upload it so everyone can access what I've gotten so far. Please keep in mind that the shop manual specifics I have downloaded are associated with my VIN, so a USDM 3.3TT AWD Sport (though much of it is applicable to all models).
Hi Todd. I'm looking for information about how to remove the shift knob for the 6MT G70 2.0T. Do you recall seeing that procedure in the service manual that you downloaded? I understand that it certainly wouldn't be associated with your 3.3TT VIN, but thought I'd ask in case it was included with your download. Thanks!

All the info I have is only related to the 3.3, unfortunately... I'm not seeing anything about the 6spd manual. Sorry!!

This is literally all the manual says about removal. There must be a pin to release the knob and the boot comes up with it.

I wonder if they copied BMW's method for holding on the shift knob? If so, just grab it firmly and pull straight up. You have to be careful not to punch yourself in the face when it lets go! Some people use a pillow for protection 😂. If that's the method, you reinstall by just smacking it back on.
Obviously, check for other means of retention first.

See if the boot cover will slide down slightly revealing a clip in the base of the knob that once removed the knobs pulls off easily. That and knobs that screw on are what I’ve had experience with.

it's just like the Kia stinger, on the update map screen tap 7 times lower left corner and 1 time lower right corner.

Don't think it’s that easy. Todd can send you excerpts, screen shots basically of something specific you need for he has helped me several times. The online manual is all discombobulated into chapters and sub-chapters. Not just one large PDF file. I assume they broke it up that way to make if hard to download a complete copy of everything all in one step. I have a 3.3 Stinger manual I got online that is helpful on some items that are shared between cars, but really lacks the kind of detail I’m used to in a service manual. It too is broke up into lots of sections and sub-sections. It goes into an advertising mode every few minutes with pop-ups that are annoying.

yeah right now I'm looking for info on how to locate and remove the srs module and also details on putting back the two front seat belts, I'm sure I can do it without the manual but I'd like to save some time, I claimed a lemon law on the stinger which I hate so much now and I'm happy i found a G70 for half the price with 900 miles, and it is so much better than the stinger 💪

Hi Tod, do you have the torque settings for the studs that connected the downpipes to the turbos on the 3.3T sport please?
