  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

MF = Money Factor...equivalent to APR in a car loan. Multiply by 2400 to get the equivalent APR. Lower the better.

RV = Residual Value...percentage car value goes down by the end of the lease. Higher means lower payment but more expensive to buy after the lease (if you even want to). Lower means higher payment but cheaper to buy out at the end.

I know I will walk away from my lease at the end...so MF had to be low and RV had to be high.

What do you guys expect to get when the G70 is available around your area? I'm in SoCal and IF I decide to go for the G70 vs the other cars I was comparing to, I will be looking at the 2.0 Elite. Will wait a few months, so probably starting to look around February or so, so that I can pick up some rebates and I can negotiate a lower selling price, if I get around 2-3k discount, plus 2-3k in rebates, with the 58% residual that they have right now and the MF, I will be shooting for a 36 month lease and 12k to get to around 430-450/mo with 0 down. VERY doable, so I'm not shooting up in the stars.
How about you?

2.0T 36/12k RV is just 50% (not 58%) and probably on February will be lower than 50%

I signed my lease last night! Got a crazy good end of the month deal. Been looking at these since they were first announced. I'm just outside of Boston. I got a 2.0T AWD Dynamic in himilayan gray. I've never leased before and had a 2015 Hyundai Sonata Limited that I traded in. Msrp was 47,200. Basically high level I am paying $360 per month for 36 months and 10k miles per year. I am giving them my car and they are giving me a check back for $5100. I wanted to be under $375 a month. A month ago they offered the same deal for about $500 per month. I think I got a pretty good deal! Has all the features I wanted too. I pick it up on Monday night.

Congrats!!! So how much below MSRP did they go (excluding any incentives or lease cash back)?

So, I need to look at the paperwork Monday because I'm not 100% sure. I know they gave it to me at 42,500 but screwed up last minute before I signed and needed to take another $1,000 off to get to the $360. I'll know more on Monday, but I think it's a good deal?

Yeah...I think you did alright. Perhaps $1-2k below MSRP...maybe a tad more. Good stuff!!

It had all the features I wanted. Coming from a limited sonata I didn't want to give up all the cool stuff plus I got a bunch of new ones. Heads up display is very nice and honestly the Genesis services they give you with concierge and other things are highly worth it.

Test drove 3.3T AWD today, what a car! But the lease payment dealer quoted I would never buy it. For $700+ I can get a much better car overall...

What are the numbers? How much below MSRP? What are the Dec lease numbers?

I did not get into the details, tbh. Salesperson said that 3.3T AWD Sport would lease for $700+. They were not willing to discount it at all.

You have to know your numbers. Otherwise...meaningless. Lease numbers thus far have been very good.

From what I'm seeing you should get a Genesis of Brooklyn, fairy shortly so hopefully they will be able to do some discounting for you. To make it easier on yourself to make comparisons it would be better to work on negotiating a price and once that is set then you can look at buying/leasing and what the numbers would be.

Yeah, I know how to lease, thank you :) I wasn't going to buy today, I'll wait a couple of months, I'm pretty sure Genesis will start offering the same $5000 cash incentive like the Kia did with their Stinger just 3 month after the release of the car.
