  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

G70 Lease Comparisons and Discussion (USA)

Yeah, I know how to lease, thank you :) I wasn't going to buy today, I'll wait a couple of months, I'm pretty sure Genesis will start offering the same $5000 cash incentive like the Kia did with their Stinger just 3 month after the release of the car.
Good luck with that. Not sure if you have seen...but the G70 has just won several top notch awards. Why on earth would they discount now? Especially when dealers are starting to really get going and popping up everywhere.

I am counting my blessings that I got $1k below MSRP...LOL.

Best of luck.

Yup, exactly! I do love Hyundai very much and I had Tiburon, Veloster Turbo, Elantra GT, 2015 Sonata, 2014 Genesis Coupe, 2015 Genesis V8, but I don't think that the G70 worth $700/m right now. $52500 MSRP, $2500 cash incentive, 52% residual and 0.00065 MF you still facing a $800 mostly payment with $0 drive off . (November numbers though)
I can lease 2018 AMG C43 for $550-600/m and $70k MSRP.

Again...you have to know your numbers.

I leased the same car (got $1k off MSRP). I put taxes and fees down and I am paying $615/month. So...dunno what to tell you.

As for the C43...no way. With zero down...you are in dreamland my friend.

I have to agree in this one. Price of the Stinger should be $5000 less than what it is.
Not sure about the US but in Canada, the financing rates for the 2018 Stinger was higher than the 2019 G70.
Kia shot themselves in the foot. They should have dropped it to 0.9% and increased the incentives when the G70 became available.

Speaking of...saw my very first Stinger today. Very glad I got the G70 ;)

I pulled up to them. It was a gal...had no idea what I was driving. Licked my lips...gave a wink...and took off.

Not popular in your state?
I just checked and there is 99 brand new 2018 Stingers available Canada wide on Autotrader.
Pretty sad that they can't clear them out!

Dunno...never seen one. Had an S4 driver follow me around...LOL. Nothing but smiles and thumbs up. Felt good. Just glad he didn’t lick his lips and wink 😉

I was pulled over by the cops last week for doing 80 at a 50 zone!
No ticket. Not even a warning! The cop wanted to know what it was that I was driving and other G70 details!
Was pretty embarassing cause it was a couple of hundred meters away from work 🙃

Please give us details on your deal when you get the paperwork, was your car paid off? maybe big portion of that was going towards the lease on the G70, the 360/mo payment sounds ridiculous on a car with 47k MSRP, even selling at 42k, that's still really really good, and I sell cars for a living lol

I think that must be the case as using equity in the trade appears to be the only way to get the payment that low given the lack of big discounts that we have been seeing.

There was a trade on that lease. He trade his Sonata sport so we don't know the exact numbers.

You got $615 because you paid taxes and fees upfront. Yes, 2018 C43 Sedan is possible to lease at $550-600, trust me. You can get more than 10% discount. I’m on my second AMG and have C63 Coupe incoming soon. I need a sedan to drive around with family and friends and was looking to get back to Genesis, but not at this lease payment...

I'm with you on the numbers, it's not a good time to lease the G70 atm, hopefully the new December numbers will be better on Tuesday. The G70 just came out while the Germans are practically giving out m340i/c43 as they are nearing the release of redesigned models. If you need to lease right now, the G70 is not a good value in the US atm

I agree with you. G70 leases are not as good as other makers. According to November numbers there is no way you can get a 3.3T Sport or even a 3.3T Prestige for less than $600 (w/o taxes) with Zero Down. Let see how the December's numbers come.

Let see how the December's numbers come.

Should get them on Tuesday. My prediction is MF higher, RV the same and Lease Cash same to lower. Of course that is just a guess and absolutely not based on anything concrete.

Do you think is going to be so bad? Everytime Hyundai (or Genesis) increase the MF and decrease the RV they increase the lease cash.

I wouldn't put any money on my prediction. LOL. Just thinking that since the availability should be much greater than it has been and they just got a lot of publicity from the COTY award, they may take a chance at making a little more off of the car with a higher MF (plus rates have been increasing in general) and possibly less LC.

Even though the supply will be increasing (we are up to 65 dealers and it looks like another 46 are fairly close) that should also increase the demand as more states will be getting dealerships.

Then again, I can probably create an argument for the opposite of everything in my prediction.

You have a good point about the COTY award. Let's see what happens. I'm not planning to lease at least until February (my 2016 Genesis lease maturity is on April) and as you very well know there is no G70 in Florida yet. :drinks:
