If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. G70 Lease Comparisons and Discussion (USA)

^ Congratulations. Good luck, enjoy and be safe.

I got a similar deal as others have on 2019 Sport AWD. Would have never got this deal without the help of the great forum members here. Thank you all!

Circle A. An extra special thank you @R-spec!
$4000 lease cash
$1000 conquest

Paid $2000 for the loss on my Acura and 1st month at $566. Initially I didn't want the Himalayan Grey but it grew on me and absolutely no regrets after a week of driving it around.

Congrats! Exact car that I want. If you don't mind me asking, what was the MSRP/selling price on the vehicle?

Can you not lease for 13k or 14k miles?

One thought is that they're being dishonest, but another thought is them choosing a different way to make money. Yeah, a little tricky, but not really dishonest to me.

I recently had a deal on the table and they also jacked up the MF saying they do that to make money. I had already negotiated a $1K dealer discount beyond Circle A and that was enough for me to move forward with lease talk. I would have had to fly out of state and go through the pain of registering an out of state vehicle in CA (not fun) and deal with the risks of the car not being what was described. I told the dealer that the increased MF basically negated the $1K discount and we were back to standard Circle A pricing. They refused to reduce the MF and for that and other reasons, I walked away. It was just enough to make me flip back to waiting for a 2020.

The thing I didn't understand was that if I paid cash for the car or got my own loan, they would not have been able to profit from the MF. Is it that much extra work to process a lease vs a purchase? Enough work that they need to jack up the MF by $1K to make up for it? I don't know... apparently the answer was yes for this dealer.

We are late enough in the model year that I'll need a GREAT deal to get a 2019. True there are not a lot of changes for 2020, but the negatives of these cars sitting on lots for nearly a year or more and some being test driven 100 miles or more (maybe hard miles) just doesn't sit well with me. It's not so bad that I can't be bought, but I need a SWEET deal to accept that!

If it weren't for r_spec and Circle A, I'd have a completely different outlook on getting a 2019 because you can basically negotiate Circle A at this time without even having Circle A. But having Circle A and getting a 2020 at that price, it's much easier to wait and skip the negotiating. Waiting also gets me a 4-button console and a power trunk! :D

What is this 4-button console? I haven't been able to find anything on what is new for the 2020 G70 other then the power trunk which I don't really care about to be honest.

To my knowledge, Genesis still has not announced the 2020 release. So we don't know the official change list. Back in August I was given a list of changes off the record and so far it seems pretty accurate. See this post:
2020 G70 U.S. availability

The discussion on the 4-button console is about not having a blank button. Here are the 2 styles:

Cars of this trim got the 4-button console as of Dec 2018, so no ugly blank button.

Oh ok got it, not sure how I missed that post. 4-button console definitely looks better, its little details like those that car designers make stupid decisions on. I'm also not a big fan of the screen style on the G70. I was hoping they would change it for 2020, but I knew it was extremely unlikely.

It's a beautiful color. Looks really good in sport trim, I think. I was torn between yours, Himalayan Grey, and mine, Santiago Silver. I love my silver and have no regrets, but I'm sure if I had gotten the Grey I would have loved it just as much.

Nice car. Looks like yours even included someone in the passenger seat. Cool.

You mind me asking what dealer you got that deal from or at least what city?

Dallas, Tx
Cool, thanks. I'm in Houston looking to possibly lease one before the end of the year if I can get a good deal. Definitely would do it for the deal you got, but looking more for 36/12k and would be fine with a 2.0t

Going to a 36/12k is only a difference of 1% in the residual so using his numbers your monthly payment will go up $12 to $374 a month.

Yea, which is a reasonable deal in my opinion. Only difference is I don't qualify for the competitor or loyalty rebate, however I do believe the lease cash might be up to $5000 for this month. Not 100% sure though, I still have to check the edmunds forum for that. I would also expect the 2.0t to be even cheaper since he got the 3.3t model for that price, but I wouldn't mind getting the 3.3t either for that price lol.

That sounds like a great deal. I just got quoted at $528/month for a G70 3.3T AWD here in IL with the first payment and plates fees (about $200) due at signing. I wish I could get something even close to that deal.

Lease cash varies depending on engine and drive. For the 2.0 the lease cash is $5k.

Genesis of Dallas I take it. They have what I want on their 2020 allocation order. Just don’t know when Texas will start getting them in? I think I was dealing with Garrett as my possible future salesman while I was there last time.
