  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

G70 Lease Comparisons and Discussion (USA)

The dealer is in business to make money. If they throw out a $600 a month lease payment and you agree they will certainly take it.
The best thing I'd suggest is 1st figuring out which engine and package you are looking at. This may mean test driving a couple models. Once you are certain you know what trim level you are interested in use the search function in this thread and see if you can figure out what others are paying for that same trim level. For my leasing experience I came in with a Circle-A certificate from R-Spec that lists the starting price without any additional incentives for the exact car I was looking at. You'll need the car's VIN number to get that if interested. Leasing in October 2019 the lease cash on a 3.3 Sport AWD was $5000, then there was a competitor incentive of an additional $1000 for owning an Acura. Id seen others in this thread that had similar discounts so had a pretty good idea of what a fair deal was. Upon getting that initial high monthly figure I usually say something like "Wow, I did a lot of research on this car and I'm sure I've seen others get it for X amount a month on this model" I have found once the salesman knows you have done a lot of research they are likely to work with you. Its here I lay out what all incentives I'm expecting then let them come up with a monthly. If it sounds right then we are good. If its still too high youll want to verify the money factor they used to calculate the monthly to make sure they didn't jack that up to compensate for you being an educated buyer. This forum can literally save you thousands on your G70 if you take the time to research.
To summarize:
Get an idea of which model best suits you
research what others have paid in this thread
Know your lease incentives and lease money factor from Edmunds. They change monthly.
Get Circle A from R-Spec once you have a specific car in mind. (If he is still providing those)
Good luck!
Thank you! I have a Circle A already. :)

Then your payment will likely be much less than $600 a month but without knowing what trim you are looking at it is hard to get any closer to the actual payment.

2020 2.0T RWD Prestige Package, at $44,895 (from online build). Or I may stick with a 2020 G80 3.8 Ultimate Package at $53,495. My last lease the dealer gave me $1500 cash when I re-signed too.

Okay, I ran some very rough calculations. I'm not able to get exact MF and RV for the G80 as there are no similar requests for a 36/10 lease on Edmunds.

You may also be eligible for a loyalty discount but I have no current information on that. When they first instituted the program it was only for 2017 and new models but changed that afterwards as some here have gotten it with 2016s. If you are then it should be an additional $1k off the G70 and $1.5k off the G80.

G70
Circle A Price around 41,500
Lease Cash - 4,500
MF - .00045
RV 48%
Approximate monthly payment without including dealer fees and sales tax - $475

G80
Circle A price - 48,855
Lease Cash - 1,000
MF - .00046
RV - 51%
Approximate monthly payment without including dealer fees and sales tax - $625

Trying to get a good deal on a G70 3.3T Sport RWD has been like nails on a chalkboard... It's hard to get details from the dealer I'm working with, but here's the deal I have going so far...

Monthly Payment (still waiting on final price): $625
Drive off: $3500 (Covers mostly 7.5% sales tax, dealer fees, etc)
Mileage: 15k/year

I don't have any details of incentives applied, money taken off the car or anything. I feel like that monthly payment is way too high, but maybe others have different thoughts?

If you scan through some pages of this thread you will see the information others have presented in order to determine what value the lease represents. Much more information, in other words. Are you working directly with a dealer or remotely? Is this for a specific VIN vehicle?
Check others who have posted and what information they receive from the salesman and we can aid better.
That seems to be a large amount of tax and fees. Your state taxes the entire vehicle amount at lease initiation? No money down?

I'll look through it a bit more; I didn't look too deeply since incentives/terms change from month-to-month.

I'm in Ohio, where apparently the tax is charged at the start of the lease. Whatever the remainder is after that will be my down payment. The dealer I'm working with is in Cleveland, while I'm in Columbus, and yes, it is for a specific vehicle. I still haven't heard from the dealer after requesting more details, so I'm curious if they're ghosting me, by now.

Specifically check the posts where someone has the details of the dealer breakdown of all costs, fees, tax and so on. MSRP, discount, lease cash, other subsidy and so on. That is what a real sales offer should include. Not just the monthly payment.

Unfortunately, I've decided to stick with Audi. The G70 is a great car but this has been the worst dealership experience I've ever had. The Audi dealers I've dealt with have always been straight forward, professional and relatively honest. Hyundai dealers have been nothing but sketchy and sleazy. Genesis needs to separate themselves from Hyundai dealers if they really want to convey a high-end experience. So frustrating...

How often are you going to the dealer that this is such a big deal? Do they have valet?

I have no idea. Kind of irrelevant since they're two hours away from me.

I can't even get past the sales process. I'm not driving two hours without them taking a deposit or giving me any numbers besides the monthly payment. I couldn't care less about the service experience past that, especially since I wouldn't be going to them anyways.

Ok I get it. Sorry I did not look back on this thread. I can certainly understand how you feel.

Hello G70 Forum Members

I’ve been following and posting (not so much lately) since July 2018 and support the forum as a Supporting Member. I got impatient, and purchased a 2016 cpo BMW 535i, which I am finding costly to maintain as well as some other issues and I’m closer to getting a G70 than I was before.

I have used both the leasehackr and Lease Deal Calculator sites and found them somewhat useful, but they don’t seem to really inform me as to what’s a good lease deal in my area (Southern California).

I have some figures from two Southern California dealers that appear to be incorporating current Genesis incentives, but I would still like some way to find out if what’s being offered is actually reasonable.

I know that there is a lot of wisdom and expertise available in this forum and would appreciate any guidance.
