  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

G70 Lips, Tails and Skirts

I just got my Moya spoiler. Thanks for the pics of the tape. I had no idea what that was for since the instructions are in korean... what do you do with the little thin pieces of pinstripe tape? Are they alignment guides or something?

Not sure when u can install this as it got too cold too fast around here.

They are the line up on the edge of the deck lid and used to align the spoiler tips on the sides. Once the spoiler is installed remove the strips.

Any idea what the temp outside needs to be for good adhesion?

Use a blow dryer and warm up the area the adhesive strips will be sticking to and you should be fine unless it really really cold out.

Thanks for the tips! Installed my Moya spoiler in about 15 minutes. Hopefully it sticks well and doesn't blow off! Lol it's all taped down for a couple days. I read somewhere that you're not supposed to exceed 65 mph with it... that's dumb and I hope not true.

It's really nice, high quality. Love it even if it is only for looks. Most OEM spoilers are bolted down. This is the first spoiler I've ever seen that is stuck on. We shall see...

I've had it on for about a year now. The tips are starting to peel up. But I've gone about 120mph and it's still on there 🤷🏻‍♂️

Hmmm, what are your plans with the tips? Just drive it until it flies off or try to fix it somehow?

I check it before driving. If it seems like it might fall off I'll remove it and fix or replace with a CF one I've been eyeing. If I buy the CF one I will probably try and have it screwed down. Dont really want to deal with peeling.

But currently the adhesive in the middle seems to hold pretty well with no signs of flying off

yea.
this is the email I got from them.

I've been liking, more and more, the products I've been seeing on that website.

Looking at their CF spoiler..

Heck, even their V2 lip, and that silly rear diffuser are beginning to catch my eye. I need to quit looking or else I'm gonna get myself in trouble.

I keep trying to remind myself that my car is supposed to be sleepy. 😴

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
The other thing I have noticed that even thou the front looks low it’s not. I have been so used to watching how close I get to parking curbs in the G37 with the lower spoiler but now with the G70 it fits over the curb. If I got a splitter or lowered it I’d probably biff the curb. 😖

Looks pretty badass with this vented hood, add the front lip and rear spoiler maybe side skirts too and this would be just WOW, can’t find the hood anywhere online though mustve been custom made.

I'd love to see a CF hood come available, though I'm not sure how much lighter it'd be over the OEM aluminum hood.

Shouldn’t be long till they become available, I’ve seen several CF hoods for the stinger, once they see their is a market for them for the G70, hopefully they will make them, I dont care so much for a CF hood, I’d just really like the vented hood like the one in the picture I posted above, really enhances the sportiness of the car! Plus I plan on wrapping my g70 in a few months maybe.

Is it a true vent or fake vents?

I'm lowered so now I leave about a foot between front and curb just to be safe. The 360 camera comes in handy. :-)

I accidentally got a tiny scrape on the bottom of the OEM lip when pulling up too far on a higher than average curb just like a week or two after getting my car. Even though you can't see it unless you're under the car I was super bummed. Now I always use the 360 camera and front camera when pulling in to park, giving myself enough room to never let the lip get too close to the barrier/curb - and mine is still the stock AWD ride height!

All that said, I think it's a good habit. Haha.
