G70 owners colour choice

I was totally going for another Grey like the last car, or the blue. Then the test drive came in the red with tinted windows and the dark chrome. Amazing in the sun. Ended up going with that.

Good choice. Over the years I've avoided reds, but that one would do it for me for sure.

Picked up my Dynamic in Mallorca Blue today. I’m usually a red kind of guy but since I’m keeping my red TDI Sportwagen I decided to go with another favorite color. I loved that shade of blue so much we drove two and a half hours south to get it.

Plus, and this is a just noticed extra benefit, our driveway is now red (2015 Sportwagen), white (2020 Palisade) and blue (2019 G70).

That's one reason I didn't go with sport but in black they look real good as does the car.

It was a dilemma for me to choose between Siberian Ice and Victoria Black. I LOVE the way SI looks in sport trim with the dark chrome. But ultimately it came down to two things.

1. I've always loved black cars, but my last 3 cars have been white and SI is very close to white.

2. Despite how good SI looks, I think black cars have much more presence.

Was never a fan of the sport wheels.
That's one reason I didn't go with sport but in black they look real good as does the car.

I feel the 5-spoke wheels are a little too much Sport and not enough Luxury. But I do like them. I think the car should have come with the G80 Sport wheels. If I do go with aftermarket wheels for the summer I think I'll go for a radial multispoke like the the Enkei RS05RR or similar.

Aiming for the white, will accept the bright blue or red if we can find the right deal.

Yesterday I received my Santiago Silver 3.3T AWD Sport. The only 3.3T AWD in Northern Cal that was available. Beautiful color and doesn't show the dust. We have an insane amount of dust due to the almond harvest going on for next 2 months.

I'm getting a wash and synthetic applied this weekend. I'll post pics next week. The car is absolutely a blast to drive, and I'm being gentle for the first 600 miles. 100 miles to go.

Looks great - That would be my second choice I think (Siberian Ice first) for the Sport. I'm not getting the Sport so not sure how the 'shiny chrome' would look with the SS - and I can't get the Siberian Ice unfortunately in the trim I'm getting. So at this moment I'm leaning towards the Adriatic Blue.

I’ll say that the MB does look so sharp in the Florida Sun!

The MB is such a gorgeous colour. My neighbour has it and I love how it has such a deep rich blue and can look a little purplish in certain light!
