  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

G70 Tips and Tricks

Good to know for I have noticed they tilt down, but I don’t use that feature so will try to move the mirror select button to center position to see if that disabled the tilt down feature. At some point down the road, probably after warranty, the plastic gears in the mirror will fail from use and the mirror will lock up. No need for added wear and tear if not needed.
I hear yea, but those are not going to fail that easily. I had a GMC Denali with the same feature where the mirrors tilt, that is now 9 years old, and there is no difference in the functionality, all of the moving pieces work the same as the day it came off the lot. Those mechanical pieces dont carry enough load for there to be enough stress to break them. Unless you are putting your hands all over them and forcing them to move without using the controls on the vehicle.

^I love that feature. I use it every time when backing into a parking spot, which is pretty much every day I drive my car.
same, but my wife hates it. She says with the mirrors being so small, it makes it hard to see objects that are not on the ground whenever they tilt.

But, for me, thats when I turn my head and look out windows LOL.

Yeah, it's not both paddles in; it's just the right one to go back to 'D', and it has always been :). Same thing with my SF with a DCT, but it'd be nice to also have functionality with both paddles in, which in my ex-Porsche engaged N. And on GT Porsches, it disengages the clutch only (like to rev the engine).

If you remove the SD for Nav, the car defaults to the climate control view, which to me looks pretty classy. The beauty of it is that I find the interface is ready faster as well. Since I use Android Auto, I don't miss the factory Nav. I also notice that AA is ready to go within about 10 seconds...
How do you remove the "SD"?
