  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

G70 Tips and Tricks

This is very interesting. Can we ask the Moderators to make this a sticky thread?
Should bre read my any Genesis owners too. Aside from Launch control, most of the tips apply to all models.

If you want to know where those 15 speakers are hidden :P

Speaking of speakers, I just discovered that the volume level remains set as you change modes. I was SiriusXM at sound level 12, then switched to FM at sound level 9. When I switched back to XM, it was back at sound level 12. I think it holds your previous sound level for each mode!

I use this but that doesn't unlock any of the door. if I need to grab something from the back door, I have to use the fob to unlock it. also I run the engine for like 15 seconds on idle before turning the car off.
Actually, there's a setting that allows the doors to unlock upon the car being turned off! Go into the settings menu, then to Doors. Just discovered this the other day, as I had been annoyed about the car not unlocking when I turned it off without hitting park. No longer an issue!

If you push the right pedal to the floor it puts a :)on your face. It gets bigger if you turn the wheel while pressing said pedal.
Make sure to have traction control turned off!!!

Quick question- Is there a way to make the steering wheel go up when you put the vehicle in park instead of when you open up the door? When I open up the door I'm ready to get out and hate putting weight on the steering wheel when it is trying to go up.

Mine starts to go up as soon as I turn off the ignition. By the time I open the door, it's up. Remember, you don't have put it into "Park", it goes there automatically from "D" when you turn it off.

My G70 does not work this way

Won't work the way you're asking but if set Driver 2 to have the seat back and steering wheel up for exit you could select that after you put it in Park.

I usually just give it a second after I open the door for the steering wheel to raise.

Pop the door as you gather your phone and/or stuff and it should be fine. Alternatively, stop skipping workouts (or start working out) so you don't need to push off the wheel to get out. Raising the seat position might help too

Anyone notice when you choose sport mode, the HUD speedo tilts slightly to the right?

Not until mentioned here. The tilt is slight enough had to switch drive modes while watching the speedo number to really notice. It does tilt slightly to the right and I’ve just never paid that close attention before. Not sure the tilt does anything for me?

Well, the numbers look faster and more aggressive when tilted.... obviously.

Okay, This took a while to figure out.

When you reverse your car, the side mirrors will tilt down to show more of the road and the side walk only if " mirror control selector switch is set to left or right ".

Good to know for I have noticed they tilt down, but I don’t use that feature so will try to move the mirror select button to center position to see if that disabled the tilt down feature. At some point down the road, probably after warranty, the plastic gears in the mirror will fail from use and the mirror will lock up. No need for added wear and tear if not needed.
