  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

G70 US Availability?

Was told May for California by Puente Hills.

Today, in the SF Bay area I was told, "End of March" & "Stock on the floor in 4 weeks" by two different stores. A couple of days ago, a third dealer's 'Genesis expert' said that the stand-alone Genesis dealership arrangement wasn't worked out yet.

Let me attempt to summarize this for those weak minded enough to continue caring:

Story #1 Four Weeks
#2 March
#3 May
#4 ????

Adding the four stories together, I come up with ?????????. Genesis still doesn't have its act together. Amazing!

Maybe, maybe not. Do you know the specific reason? It could be the state, it could be some individual dealer lawsuits. It could not be out of the control of Genesis. Unless someone knows specifics, it is pure speculation.

The silver lining to all this is the by the time the wait for this car is over I'll be able to afford the LC500 I originally wanted.

Nobody knows anything. Especially since all the info we have is a bunch of overly optimistic press releases. Things may be out of their control, but the shit communication is entirely on them.

Honestly, you could say the entire corporate staff was on sabbatical for the last year and it would seem plausible. Some signs of life would go a long way.

it was love at first sight... I had to bring her on home! and the 2.5hr drive back home from OKC was a blast!!. wow wow wow
I'd say this, Mallorca looks sooooo good in all the pics and I was set on that color.
BUT in person?!? Siberian Ice is completely 'MindBottling'!!!
It was a cloudy day, but took her on a second test drive just to find some sun to see the difference. It was a wrap at that point.

Edmond received 4 G70's Friday... coincidentally, me and another guy from here in TX was there together and snatched up 2 of them yesterday.

thanks again to @Beefer and @TurtleBoy for all your insight you give in this forum.
Now it's time to have some fun!

Congratulations!!! I was in OKC yesterday just to see the G70s, and have to say the Siberian Ice was amazing. I thought the car was really nice, but in person it is even better. Now we just need ro get some awd's in!
Congrats!!

Tulsa now has G70s on site as well as OKC. Tulsa's arrived late Friday. They have a black manual, and a HG and MB 2.2, both rwd.

Everett Washington has G70's in stock, including one 3.3 AWD Sport Siberian Ice.

Vancouver Washington just added a 3.3 AWD Sport in Victoria Black.

Bend Oregon has a 3.3 AWD Sport in Mallorca Blue.

Californians, come and visit your northern neighbors and grab these!

Reporting on something you never hear on this thread - I've met a neighbor who has a design 3.3T G70 parked in the same apartment lot as me and moved in a few weeks ago, looks like the G70s are getting more common here in PA. He mentioned seeing another one in a nearby neighborhood.

This is in a state with no 2019 models available so seems like quite a few are willing to travel to NJ to get the G70s.

We probably represent the 2 closest G70s outside of any dealer in the US 🤣

Thanks, armen. The French have a saying, "Plus ca change', plus ca le meme chose". "The more things change, the more they remain the same."
Genesis sends two cars to a new dealership, and they are both the same. That shows truly amazing planning.

I've never seen a G70 here (near Phila). In fact, I only see a Genesis car of any type once a week, maybe. -Although the winged logo can be mistaken for a Chrysler.

Looks like we've moved past April production, at least.

I think the latest we have seen was towards the end of June. More than likely that will be the latest we will see for the 2019 model year. Given how the dealer rollout was going, or not going, they probably still have enough original stock that was supposed to be for the nationwide release.

Oh wow; ok. I have a feeling I'll be reserving a '20 by the time Pennsylvania gets going anyway. Maybe the reps will know something at the Auto Show next week.

Mine is from 5/15/18, arrived to the dealer just 18 days ago. I bought it three days later on 1/11/19.
