  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

G70 US Availability?

As far as I know, that was available in the 2018 and I think before that in the current G80s. Are you maybe referring to starting the car by pushing a button on the remote? That is not available as far as I know.
Incorrect. No push button start on the key fob for any previous model year G80. Remote start via the phone app only. The 2019 model shows push bottom start on the fob.

Got a call from Alexandria, VA dealer. They have 4 on the ground. Three 2.0T and one 3.3T. They are getting cleaned up and ready for sale.

Had a good chat. He plans on selling MSRP. Perhaps one could get a bit off.

But...Genesis will give you $1k incentive if you own a competitor brand. Audi is one of them.

Next...leasing numbers not bad. On that 3.3T the residual (10k) is 55% and MF is 0.00071 (~1.7% APR). So all that is looking great !! Financing is pretty low too. I think he said APR is 1.6% or something.

Anyhoo...have at it folks :)

Who are you talking to at Alexandria? (I'm in Arlington)

That's promising. Does the 1k incentive include loyalty if you currently own a genesis? I believe that was available when the G80 came out

He called it a competitive...so other brands. You need to prove active registration.

Seems like you still may have some doubt, take a look at the window stickers from a 2018 model and you will see the same item listed. https://www.genesisofcherryhill.com.../windowsticker?vin=KMHGN4JE0JU240981&status=2

Those numbers are ugly. That gives you a monthly payment of no less than $740 plus taxes in a 3.3T Sport AWD in a 10k/36 lease. With that RV we need at least $4500 lease cash incentive to be around for what is considered a good (not excellent but good) lease.

If I pay my taxes up front...and do a 48 month lease...I am looking at under $600 per month. That is assuming $1k under MSRP (that incentive). Perhaps get another grand off if lucky. So I am ok with that. 42 month would be about $650 or so.

How many months until we can expect to get a respectable price on one of these?

Considering there is NO info on it ANYWHERE...I can only imagine they will sit on the lots. Seriously...don't you folks think? I bet they will want to move them. Who knows.

The lease numbers aren't bad. The residual could be WAY worse considering this a new brand and the MF is lower than I thought it would be. Make sure to take in to account that the $750 payment is without any movement in the MSRP/selling price. Throw in some incentives and a discount off the MSRP (8-10%) and you could end up with a good deal. If these sit (and they will), expect some good discounts.

Yeah I'm waiting for the incentives, will likely pull the trigger EOY. Aren't lower trim models usually set with higher rv than top trims? Hoping the 3.3T advanced gets into the high 50s.

Totally agree with that. I did some looking back at historical residual values and the 55% is pretty good for a Genesis. The MF is way lower than I thought it would be given it is a newly released model and the way interest rates have been trending. If one is looking to lease, it is not a bad situation to be in. Also was surprised with the 1.6% APR for financing, that seems to be a real good rate also. In a few months things will get better with discounts.

In general that seems to be the way it usually works.

Higher trim holds value better...so higher RV.

Example...RV on Audi S4 Prestige is 3% higher than Premium Plus.

Actually I think you have that reversed. Usually the higher trims don't hold as well since their price is higher due to more niceties. Your example there would be the first Audi I ever saw like that, generally the Prestige is always a lower RV.
