  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

G70 US Availability?

I forgot to mention that the infotainment does look dated. I wasn’t impressed at all. Hopefully they update that for new model years.

My "infotainment" system is a small gray mono-color screen. The screen on the G70 is a step up for me, but I also need to mention that at the OC Auto show today I saw some others and I actually think the Genesis version is still better than most.

I'm currently in the process of purchasing the 2.0 t elite

Are you working with andrew? I echo beefer's comment, let us know how they are treating you.

They treated me well. However, there is one person who does both genesis and hyundai finance so the wait time is a bit long. All vehicles are sold at msrp.

Congratulations! I think pictures are in order. (y)

You able to qualify for the $1k incentive? You do not have to trade in...just own one.

I'll see if I can post some more pictures tomorrow when the sun's out. It's dark so you guys won't be able to really see anything in the interior.

Can you please share the build date? I’m curious about how long they’ve been sitting in port while waiting for this abortion of a rollout.
Thx!

I saw the G70s today (didn't choose to drive them) and the Siberian Ice is really my favorite. I've been considering the G70 vs an Audi A5 Sportback. A quick overview was that the 3.3t interior felt tighter than the Audi A5 and the quilted sport seats were firm, but comfortable. The Audi interior looks more modern and refined and you can't beat the Virtual Cockpit. The G70 trunk is very small, so it's a big compromise for my needs. It's currently selling for MSRP and comparing this to a discounted Audi makes it a less compelling argument.

Honestly, unless Audi jacks the prices up on the '19s, I'm probably going for an A5 sportback. Their 4 cylinder performance slots nicely between the Genesis 2.0 and 3.3 motors and is probably enough power. But the G70 is still a good choice when you consider the included service and warranty values.

Why didn’t you drive it?

$318.00 but that was not for a Genesis.
Can you be more specific? What country? I don't think any have been leased in the US yet and the numbers from Canada or Korea do not translate to the US should you be on this side of the border. .

The trunk space probably makes it a non starter for me. I didn't want to waste the salesman's time going further.

Same thing happened to me back in August with the BMW 5 series. They come with run flats, which I will never use, but can get a spare tire option. Went to see one with that and it made the trunk space basically useless. Didn't even bother to take a drive. It is actually a shame since they are nice cars.

No 2019 Genesis' yet in Florida, however with that said. I asked my favorite go to guy at my favorite dealer, Coastal Hyundai, Melbourne, 105 miles from me who told me that yes, they will be a Genesis dealer and will start getting cars in November. They will also have to get a dedicated Genesis building before the end of 2020.

Spoke with my closest Hyundai dealer today, Jenkins Hyundai Leesburg Florida. Their Jenkiins group has a few dealerships in the area. Told that;

1. Hyundai location will stay the same.

2. Nissan dealership will move to present Honda location.

3. Genesis stand alone dealership will take over present Nissan location.

Did not ask what will happen to the Honda dealership.

This is good thinking because in my Lake County, there are many "well to do people" who live in "The Villages" Florida, who buy high end cars.
