  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

G70 US Availability?

Just got back from global genesis in NJ. They have the cars but no one able to help sell them 😂. They also have more than the 3 listed on the website but the person didn't no what they have in stock. Guess I have to wait a bit longer.
There are currently 13 G70s on cars.com from Global.

Yeah...I'm a couple of hours south :) My local dealers messed up and still cannot sell...so I will potentially be buying in your neck of the woods. Waiting another month or so to buy local.

One more thing on the rear seats. If I am sitting comfortably...I could fit 3 people at 5'2" or less in the back. Two people zero issues obviously.

Comfort back there is excellent as mentioned. The same level of detail carries from the front to the back. Gorgeous leather and all the trims. Heated back seats and vents. But there is no separate 3rd zone for the HVAC back there. Which is fine. I am talking the 3.3T Sport AWD model.

With Prestige and above you are getting the quilted seats. The non-stiched Nappa look very classy. The stiched seats look so much better in person than in most of the photos, but the choice between red or gray is a personal preference. We definitely need that configurator to see what seats match up with which colors, if there is a limitation...hopefully not.

They are definitely getting two I sat in last week in Anaheim, CA.
Much more than that, they are getting new shipments almost every couple days now but just a car or two at a time. I’m just waiting on my color and trim to show up at port and they have an eye on that as well, I’ve seen the sheets

I really really hope Genesis doesn’t do this mess up again next year when the GV80 comes out. The vehicle will be of a huge importance to Genesis as the Market for SUV’s is booming!!

Which is why I've stated that it's probably a good thing that the GV80 and next gen G80 (the first real Genesis models, being that they will have the Essentia design-language) won't launch until most or all of the dealerships are up and running.

Only the Sport gets the full quilting...with contrast stitching. The lower nappa trim gets the partial quilting.

Does anyone know if there are automatic transmissions that do NOT have auto start/stop (feature where your engine turns off). I have seen a couple reviews with automatic transmissions and the button for auto/start stop is missing.

The Sport does NOT have this feature. I am not sure about trims lower than the Sport. Only way to tell is to look at some of these non-Sport photos at the dealers.

Cars.com shows that Glassman Hyundai Subaru Kia in Southfield, MI, has cars for sale!

Are we all pretty much for sure stuck paying Msrp? I was hoping I could get that bogus $1000 delivery fee waived at the very least but every dealer I talk to is saying they aren't budging. I'm curious if I can the delivery fee waived when I'm seconds from closing the deal.

Only thing I know of is the competitive incentive. If you own one (Audi, BMW...they have a list)...and provide proof of registration...you get $1k.

MSRP seems to be about it unless you have a competing car (BMW, Audi, etc.) you can probably get the $1k conquest discount. I highly doubt you will ever get the destination fee waived no matter what. That will probably always be shown but could get the overall price lowered.

Heard something today...not sure if it is true or not. I was speaking with a Genesis Specialist...and this guy really knew his stuff. Essentially...anything discussed on this board...he knew. We were throwing facts at each other, etc.

Anyhoo...I started to talk about how nobody knows about this car...and the fact that the main website is a mess. He said that Genesis is waiting for more dealerships to open up and have inventory before they configurator and other aspects of the website go live. I was stunned. I said that it could be MONTHS before that happens. He agreed. So folks...it could be a very long time before that configurator goes live.

Which is GREAT for us if you think about it. The longer nobody knows about these cars...and the longer they just sit...they will be anxious to move them. Not because of Genesis incentives...but purely on the fact that their money is being held up and profits will be down.

So...I am not pressing on that configurator. Let it be another 6 months !!! We basically know what trims there are. Just keep searching the 6 or 7 dealerships with their online inventory.

SIX MONTHS? Ok...I am definitely moving on then!

What makes the fee bogus?
