  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

G70 US Availability?

Little correction sir.

They are called Safford Genesis of Springfield
Safford Genesis - #1 Genesis dealership in Northern Virginia
Thanks for including David's info in the previous post. I'm in NOVA but looking for a white/silver/dark blue (I'm flexible) but definitely want a light colored interior 2.0 AWD Advanced.

Test drove the prestige 2.0 AWD at Alexandria Hyundai last night and the upgraded sound didn't blow me away so upgrading to an Elite would really just be for leather instead of leatherette and the ventilated seats but I feel the remote start kind of mitigates that in extreme hot/cold weather.

Anyway, David said he expects to have details on his inventory that are sitting at the port some time next week. Crossing my fingers. I considered driving up to NJ but the only advanced they have is in that weird Siberian Ice color or a Silver at Global auto but with a black interior smh.

David seems like a decent guy and has been real good in emailing me with info even though I'm out in Colorado. Tell him Lou said he should treat you right. ;)

Don’t knock the Siberian Ice. Apparently just stunning. Sometimes white...other times some gray in it...even times when a slight blue hue comes across (my favorite part).

Will do, I think he may have been referring to you when he said he had some interest in 3.3T but not any 2.0 Advanceds and that I was first on his list for that model regardless of color.

I just saw it last night at Alexandria Hyundai. I can def see where you are coming from but it just reminds me of a shiny version of car paint primer lol.

Actually I'm looking for a G80 Sport with the 3.3t so he may have been.

Shit...really? Perhaps I need to see it prior to committing.

How would you describe it compared to white?

YES. Def see it first. It's an acquired taste? It's def not white by any means IMHO. It is more like a milky grey with a slighhhtt hint of blue?

I just looked at photos online and they do not do the color justice. Def not a good way to really see what the color is.

Car paint primer that is shiny is honestly the best way to describe it. They have one on the lot of Alexandria Hyundai it's def worth the drive before making such a big commitment on color. Two dealers I have spoken to have it called it a weird or odd color including Joon at Alexandria Hyundai so I don't think it's just me who feels that way.

The only other thing I can add is that it's almost. matte and shiny at the same time. Kinda cool how they can do that. It's a dull color with a vibrant sheen vs a shine.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Nevermind I said bogus, not taking your combative bait nor have any desire to go down a rabbit hole with anyone on a forum about car dealer fees.
Not bait at all, just wondering why you say it.

Two ways to look at it. The cost to get a car from port to dealer is real. Has to be paid and like all costs it comes back to the end user.

You can change the sticker and include it in the price. Just like you buy a new drill at Home Depot, it cost something to get it to the store but the seller includes in the price.

You can make the sticker price seem cheaper and then add a line for the delivery. It is a marketing decision. Just like other dealer fees.
Two simple rules. 1, Everything is negotiable. 2. There is no free lunch.

Make an offer. Be prepared to walk and see who blinks first. You won't know until you try.

Which I love...Audi has a gray like that...and would buy it in a heartbeat. I like different.

Interesting that we've seen all AWD non-sport 3.3T trims get the 20 spoke wheels, but I'm seeing the 2.0T AWD Prestige gets the 10 spokers.

Can anyone guess their reasoning here?
AWD Kia Stingers have the option of either 18” wheels with all-season tires, or staggered 19” wheels with summer tires. Perhaps the AWD G70s have the same option: 18” 20-spoke with all-seasons, or 19” 10-spoke with summers.

Autotrader finally added the G70 to their filters and some inventory now shows up.

Here are some pictures I took 3 hours ago at Genesis North Plainfield. I saw all colors but Black Forest Green. First time seeing Siberian Ice and it becomes my first choice.

An all weather tire option would be great on the sport

Nice reply Ed. Very courteous, but direct. I think if someone posts on a forum and calls something “bogus” they ought to be willing to defend their assertion or don’t post it.

I have a relation who owns a truck and drives cars across the country. He works his a** off loading those cars, driving them, unloading them at the dealer. His work is not bogus. These are coming overseas from Korea. Very few dealers are located next to the shipping ports. Someone has to drive them to the dealer.

I agree with this. But getting cars to a dealer so they can sell and make money is on them. Of course everyone needs to be paid.

But the consumer should not pay that...dealer expense to make money. Just like them paying the hydro bill.

So the freight charges should be hidden...rather incorporated...into operating expenses for the dealer to make money. And they DO make money.

Now...if a dealer gets a car from another for a consumer...I think that should be on the invoice.
