I just checked Safford Genesis in Springfield, VA...they have some G70's on their site. Lower trims, and one Design edition.

New Car Insurance - See How You're Covered

Not to complicate things, but don't forget about the State/DMV. you are not supposed to drive/own a car that is not explicitly insured, and some states are more strict than others. for example in maryland if you sell your car (say trade in with a legit dealership) and cancel your insurance before returning your tags to MVA and waiting for them to process it (may take up to a week if you mail it or use their dropbox), you will get a $150 fine for "owning" an uninsured car !

The nearest dealers are so far away from me that nothing shows anywhere for my zip and the screen gets stuck in locating mode. Just a message that they are coming soon to me area/region and I should sign up for updates.

I actually stopped in there over the weekend and they had 3 on their lot plus one on their showroom floor. Finally got to see the car in person! It is beautiful.

Have to say I was not too impressed with my salesman though. I started to ask what brands were included in the competitor discount (since I currently have an Acura) and before I could even finish my question, he replied with something like, "If you're looking for a discount, the G70 is not the car you want right now. This car is selling at $5k over invoice." I, of course, since I am lurking here, knew that wasn't true, but I am not looking to buy until next year anyway so I didn't want to waste my time arguing with him. I did make a mental note that I probably won't buy from them when I am ready though. I live closer to Chantilly Genesis anyway...

This car is selling at $5k over invoice." I, of course, since I am lurking here, knew that wasn't true, but I am not looking to buy until next year anyway so I didn't want to waste my time arguing with him. I did make a mental note that I probably won't buy from them when I am ready though. I live closer to Chantilly Genesis anyway...

If you do want to go with them, talk to David Vel and tell him you are from the forum. He should be fairly straightforward with you. Here is a shot of the competitive discount list that he sent me the other day.

Honestly...just talk to the GM. Unbelievably nice guy. His name is Scott Lee.

That is a really nice dealership...brand new and build for the Genesis brand. They are doing the whole Genesis Experience thing. Mention your dumbass salesman.

They are selling at MSRP...and I already know for a FACT they are honoring that Competitive Incentive. If you a good negotiator...perhaps you can dip below MSRP

I wasn't impressed with them either. I live close to Chantilly as well...really wish they'd start getting some cars. They told me they think it will be next year (January-ish) but hoping sooner if my NJ car doesn't show up. Chantilly will be my home dealership.

I looked for the Genesis word/logo on the outside of the building and didn't see it. Once I got inside, I realized that the other end of the showroom floor was for Genesis, where they had one each of the G90, G80, and G70 on display.

Appreciate the contacts at the dealership from you and TurtleBoy though. If I can't resist the urge to buy until next year, I will definitely utilize those. Trying to be patient though... I hear it's a virtue

Yeah - I saw your earlier posts about the NJ dealership pushing back your delivery date. What a PITA.

Yeah...something is off. Perhaps they are finalizing the other building...dunno.

I did also. My guess is since nothing is happening in the area there is no update. They would probably rather not send out a "sorry, we still have not made any progress and frankly don't know how or when we will" email.
