  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

G70 US Availability?

Is that the cars you viewed in Canada?
No...alot of the photos from the USA dealers include the door sticker which has the build date. So...numerous cars across different dealers were May.

To add...our lady friend who picked up her car yesterday...I think hers was May as well.

So...with that said...if you take the transport from S.Korea out of the picture...the time it might have sat in S.Korea...the transport to the USA dealership, etc, etc...they're probably at port for just a few months. Nothing I would worry about.

But...for any dealers that get cars in the beginning of 2019...perhaps that's pushing it...dunno.

Beefer, you might be correct. Here’s what I found in my owner’s manual. I’m kinda sick to my stomach right now :(

On the bright side, I am really loving the car. I’m gonna write up a full review w/ tons of pics soon. I’ll post it here AND in it’s proper category. Don’t wanna piss off the purists of forum rules ;)

Why are you sick to your stomach? It is a 5 year warranty, probably longer than other makes.

Because they made her buy an additional expensive warranty.

No, they didn't make her. She decided to do it. ;). There is generally never a reason to buy an extended warranty at time of purchase. Should someone want one, they are usually available for purchase from the manufacture prior to when the original warranty period runs at. At that time you can shop different dealers to get the best price.

They lied about the electronics. They said 3 years...which is false. So the f$%ker flat out lied to make them buy it. Total BS.

That would be a shame if they did but I highly doubt they will admit it. Probably won't matter though, she can just contact them on Monday and say that she would like to cancel the warranty because she didn't realize at the time it was a 5 year warranty. Probably without making too much of a fuss they will do it.

Unless it got wrapped into the financing. More of a mess at that point.

It may make it a little more difficult depending on the details as to when/how the dealer gets paid, the warranty company/division. If the dealer gets the money and dispenses it then they could not process the warranty and give the money for it to her.

Because they told me that the infotainment was 3 years. It was in writing and I believed them, so we bought the xtended warranty. Maybe that Genesis warranty don’t cover some of the other inner workings of the main computer? IDK. Either way, we would have gotten an extended warranty but I do believe we paid too much :(

Everything is covered for 5 years...you got shammed. I’ll help you.

Then no need to worry about it if you were going to get it anyway. Just forget about it and enjoy the car. Whether you think you paid too much is neither here nor there at this point since you agreed to the deal. The length of the standard infotainment warranty shouldn't effect that thinking since in the end you have exactly what you wanted. Hopefully that makes sense.

Yes it totally makes sense. I just hate being lied to. But my husband shares your same line of thinking....I am just pissed right now.
