  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

G70 US Availability?

Shipments to Florida have started. So far I'm seeing inventory for Genesis of St. Augustine, Key Genesis and Red Hoagland Genesis.

Edit: and Wesley Chapel

@TurtleBoy whats up with Oklahoma, have they been approved?

Not seeing anything for Oklahoma but things can change quickly as we have seen. From what we have heard, they do have their license in all states but lawsuits and processes can hold things up.

Yeah...I am not seeing any OK dealers being recognized by Genesis USA yet.

I can see Genesis of Tulsa and Genesis of Edmond being discussed per board meeting minutes (November). In December...Genesis of Norman (Oklahoma City).

I have stopped by and also talked with various Oklahoma dealers (Genesis of Tulsa and Genesis of Edmond); they are "hopeful" they will soon receive cars--but they have been "hopeful" for a while.
Genesis of Wichita has some G70's in (only the 2.0, the others have sold)--they hope to receive more.

Good to hear... Seems closer to inventory than TX. Norman only 2hr drive from me in N Dallas. As of now closest option is Genesis of Shreveport @ 3.5hrs... who's been showing inventory on cars.com for over a month but still nothing at the dealership.

It's already out as a 2019 model with the 3D cluster. Reviewers seem impressed that the cluster actually looks 3D. The US and Canadian markets will have different release schedules, that's for sure.
Do you have any links to reviews of the cluster? Would be interested in seeing more information.

If you can understand Korean (I can), there's a bunch of youtube reviews if you search for 'G70 3D'. It doesn't come across well on video but it works with your eyes, and they all say it's a cool feature. You can at least watch how it looks even if you can't understand what they are saying. Many on this board favor the analog for various reasons. It wasn't that important for me personally and I feel like I would've gotten headaches looking at it.

Update for Washington state. Got in touch with Genesis of Vancouver and they just received 2 G70's in stock yesterday! As of right now, they only have the 2.0's (Victoria Black and Adriatic Blue, though salesman didn't tell me which trims they are), unsure about if/when they'd get 3.3's.

I'm gonna head up there with my daughter on Saturday and take a look.

No updates for Genesis of Bend, though.

Looks like it is Mallorica and not Adriatic. Here is the window sticker for it.

Hah, nice!

The salesman replied to my most recent email and said they may even have 3.3's by Saturday. I'll post up my experience afterwords.

This weekend I saw a single 2019 G70 Elite on the lot at Twin City Genesis in Alcoa TN. It was a RWD, Black/Black, 2.0 Turbo. I tried to get it as a loaner when I took in my G80 for service, but no joy :(

Salesman said they are offering the "Sport" package exterior items (bumper and copper accents) on all G70 (2.0T 3.3TT) and G80 models (3.3, 3.8 5.0) for 2019. The car above had the "Sport" accents on it.

I like the look/proportions of the car. The vertical chevron on the front quarter panels are tacky/cheesy though.

Please brother. What news do the gods bring of California?

Unfortunately nothing more than Genesis has a license in the state but there are currently no franchises approved. I will treat California like Florida and as soon as I see anything I will post. Let's hope it is soon.
