If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

G80 sport grille

Thank for weighing in!

Hmm poo. A 1/4in isn't much though... if I were to do some minor altering, and clear up 1/8in off the fascia bilaterally, would the grill properly fit otherwise taking into account the vertical dimensions?

If I decide to do the cover swap, I'd likely just update to the newer G80 bumper cover (nonsport) so that I can retain my fog lights, although there isn't all that much difference.

A grill chrome delete is another idea for making the front end a bit more aggressive I suppose.

Eh, fog lights are really overrated lol, my 15 awd version oddly didn't even come with fog lights. I wouldn't try to make it fit the line will not line up.

I'll take the vertical measurement for ya, but I'm pretty sure its taller on the none sport.

Agh but having that little fog light button there and it doing nothing will drive me cray! I wonder If removing the fog lights causes a bulb out indicator... Also that is super weird that the 3.8 AWD ultimate doesn't have fog lights lol. But it worked in your favor!

Yea, I know exactly what you mean to have the button and it not doing anything, also a good point about the fog lights being disconnected. You can always add a carbon fiber lip to your bumper, a guy on here is a vendor for them.

Yeah saw the lips, they look nice! Would probably need to paint it. Carbon fiber on black never did it for me lol. Perhaps, when the car gets here... soon.. i hope.. Ill d/c the fog lights and see what happens.

Sweet, how many more days until you receive the car? Man the wait is gotta be killer.

Not sure yet =(. Dealership said 10 days (on wed) but I havent heard anything regarding it being on a truck. It'll be heading straight to a window tinting place as soon as it comes off the truck. Also thinking about a paint correction for some minor swirls, black is sexy but it deff requires more upkeep.

Black is the worst for upkeep but it does give the car a different persona. Def get it polished and diamond coated or even the front end wrapped if you drive a lot on the highways, these cars seem to chip super easy.

i agree, get some xpel on there or 3m... or at least a couple of coatings of ceramic.

Yeah that's what I was thinking as well. A good place here does a decontamination, 2 step correction, and a double ceramic coat for about 500+tax. Seems worth it. I'll probably do it pretty soon (first need to take the 2K tax hit).

Sorry bud but the G80 Sport grill wont fit on the other genesis sedans, I had a buddy of mine just see since i sold him the g80sport front conversion

Thanks for the heads up!! Do yall have any aftermarket grills in the works that would accommodate the automatic braking sensor?

At this time nope..M&S does have grills for the people who don't have the plastic cover. What you see on your bumper is just the cover. The sensor is mounted on the frame

Ah gotcha. What a design.... lol. Ive seen some people dechrome the grill, any idea of how the deal with the chrome/gray posterior to the cover?

That cover makes things difficult, I'm sure it works just fine without it, cause one of my coworkers brought one and the dealership was dumb enough to drill into the AEB cover and covered it with a license plate frame SMH.

Kolme, you get your car yet?

Gotcha, I might try to see if I can dechrome the grill. I cant imagine doing so would interfere with the AEB. And I talked to my dealer today, supposedly it will be at my door no later than the 15th... I'm extremely on edge lol.

Oh man, the anticipation gotta be killing you lol. That cover is 700 from the dealership so don't mess it up. When I got my g80 grill that cover came in a nice little genesis logo'd box and I'm all ecstatic over it and its just abs plastic with a plastic or glass lens that does some holographic look to simulate the patter on the grill. So yea no idea.

yikes... well thats a bummer lol. May just have to leave it alone then... Although Id really like to see a dechromed grill =(.

You could wrap it black or whatever your grill will get wrapped with but it might look weird.
