If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

G80 under-body panels on a 2015 Genesis 5.0 for easier oil changes.

Oh man, Im wondering if I could use these on the 3.8 awd. Would make everything way easier

You can purchase a 2018 3.8 AWD under body panel set, but I do not know if it will fit like the 5.0 RWD panels.

Im Pretty sure i found the right panel for the front under cover, but im having difficulty deciding which rear under cover because it doesnt show a 3.8 AWD variant for the 2018 panel. theres 4 options, theres a couple 3.3 and a 5.0 4WD version but not sure if that one would line up well.

Where are you guys buying the underbody covers from? Are you guys buying it right from the dealer or are there aftermarket a for it?

I found this that seems like it would fit your 2015-2016 Genesis AWD. It a rear under cover for a 2018 G80 3.8 AWD model.

Hey! Didnt see your comment, but i did order those and it fit perfectly! I only purchased the rear, so yes I feel that you can Mix and match the parts. I am planning on getting the front cover soon though.

Do they come with all the required screws or do they need to be purchased separately?

Well, if you mean just the standard bolts that are needed to hold up the cover, they do not come with them. I bought a few bolts but I should've just used the ones that my old cover had instead since they were still in good condition. But that's just me being cheap lol

No bolts or panel clips included. You have to reuse your old bolts and add one additional plastic panel clip to properly mount the 2018 cover on a 2015 or 2016 model.

I took my 2015 3.8 AWD in for it's first oil change (first oil change since I purchased it) at Grease Monkey...... never again they come in and tell me that it only had one bolt holding up the under pan in the front and that they did not feel comfortable putting it back on. they did not have any of the plastic retainers either. They told me it would not hurt anything with it off and i figured I could just pick some up at the dealership. Driving home the back panel was pulling down from the air flow and rubbing the ground every time I went over 50. I'm so pissed does anyone have the part numbers for the bolts and plastic pins/ bolts that hold the cover on? Autozone did not have any in stock.

You can search for the bolts needed at this online Hyundai part website.

For OP: thanks for the informative post and photos. I'm going to order a G80 front cover for my 2016 3.8 AWD. Looks like it will make changing the filter so much easier. Thanks again.

You are welcome.:)

I hope it make your oil changes easier like it does for me.

Carguy75,
Does the whole panel did to be remove to change the oil? Or does the small panel allow access to the drain plug?

Only the small panel covers need to be removed to access the oil filter and drain plug. My old original 2015 under-body cover without the access doors required me to remove the entire under body cover to properly gain access to the drain plug and oil filter.

The 2017+ G80 under body cover has access doors so the entire cover do not have to be removed to change the oil.

Do you keep your old panels?
My car is missing front under cover panel.
I'd buy your old one if you don't need it.

Btw, do you know which bolts/clips and how many do I need in order to mount it?

I am keeping my old panels in my basement. I have a habit of hoarding old car parts for whatever reason.

Just look at your old panels and count the bolt and panel clip locations. My new panel only needed one extra panel clip.
