  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I am just curious to see if anybody here is still a child like me.

Im addicted to the XBOX 360. I am also addicted to Call of Duty...in fact, I have had the 360 for 2 years now and only own 2 games. COD4-Modern Warfare and COD5-World at War.

If anyone here wants to talk about this kind of stuff...holler back.

If you play these games and need a friend, here is my XBOX LIVE ID:

DISCLAIMER: If you enjoy using foul language or obcenities while playing please refrain from asking me to be your friend on XBOX Live. I currently have the system set to family settings and so all I am able to hear are my friends. My family will NOT be hearing that kind of stuff. I was SHOCKED my first time on LIVE.

Anywho, just something to discuss for all the GROWN UP CHILDREN...HA! :D

I got a PS3 for Christmas and have been breaking it in with a little COD4 and Little Big Planet. I am a PC gamer by and large, but my wife is a Mac user and, well, I just can't bring myself to cross that line. So I got a PS3 (for the Blu-ray, which is awesome!) and am trying to get used to the controls. I just wish they had Halo for PS3!

I hear you ED.

I wished the 360 had Blue-Ray.

I'm a little stunned here. I would have never thought, at this point in the poll, that most users used a PC to game with. I tried one time with Tiger Woods 07 and it was pretty rough. I did see that they make controllers for PC's that are similar to those used on the most popular gaming systems.

I may have to give it a try...

I also noticed that there are quite a few professional CAN KICKERS around here. HA!! :)

I used to play FPS on the PC with games like Doom and Wolfenstein but now I am too old and slow! Enemy Territory was the last I tried. My 3 sons played Call of Duty 5 over the Xmas break and I was clueless. I make them unplug the box when there is school or else they turn into zombies.

You obviously betrayed your age!

MY first game was PONG when I was 22! Other than that.... Coke bottle... real glass. And we LIKED it:D:D

Well, I never knew there was a Sega CD, a 32x or the so called Jaguar...HA!

Phil...to this day, I still purchase Dr. Pepper in the bottles and stock my mini-fridge upstairs with them. In fact, today at work I am wearing my Dr. Pepper hat.. HA! There is nothing like a fresh ice cold glass Coke or Dr. Pepper! Mmmmm...my mouth is watering. My grandparents always took the bottles from us because they recycled them for a nickel, so I never had the opportunity to kick the glass ones around. :)

Thanks to everybody for voting!!

10, 2 &4 buddy! I learned to love Dr. Pepper as a kid on my uncle's dairy farm in VA. He kept them in one of those circulated water coolers where you freeze your hand almost as you pick the DP out of the water! I got older and had to cut out the sugar. BUT... in our office we have a Diet DP mini fridge! I'll try to get a photo (PHOTO NOW ATTACHED!!). We took the DP logo from a cardboard 24 pack, cut it out, laminated it, put magnetic sheet on the back and stuck it to the front. Looks GREAT! Back to work...

As a middle-aged child who is still an active PC-Gamer (though my first love was the Atari) I will give a big shout out for the PC as the ultimate gaming platform. Sure, sure those PS3's and XBox's are nice but you can't mod a console game! Plus, a PC can be upgraded fairly easily (if you know what you're doing, of course).

 So I have heard....AIMBOT...HA!

I'm a modder myself. I have 2 360 controllers with rapid fire mods. One for COD4 and one I built specifically for COD5. COD5 now has a speed detector on some guns so we programmed a PIC to stay below the radar!

What is "10,2 and 4"? I heard this on a country song. I tried looking it up on the internet but people are posting what they think it means, not the actual meaning.

Years ago, Dr. Pepper, on their bottles had a logo that had 10, 2 & 4 on it (http://www.drpeppermuseum.com/Learn/Collectors.aspx ). It actually started in 1923 as I just read on the link. The suggestion was that you should drink a Dr. Pepper at 10AM, 2PM and 4PM! I did just that with my uncle on his farm whenever I'd visit in the summer. GREAT memories;)

I have PS2 now, want to get PS3 but wife wants Wii, looks like this is one battle I am going to lose :D

My Christmas gift to my wife was a Wii Fit game system. Another ill-considered move (will I EVER learn?) My Wii Fit "age" (calculation based on an initial set of tests) came out to 53 (just two years from actual). Hers? 68 (she's 55). Hoo boy, that's not the outcome I was hoping for!

Gaming is way overrated from my perspective. Still too early to tell if I can craft this into an argument for the divorce judge. ;)

Hmmm... just found this thread. Any other gamers out there, this past year and half?

:D

Weird, I also just found this thread:o I'm a Call Of Duty man myself (Xbox 360), and heck I just played it today:cool:

I stay away from the console and most of the games because I know that with my addictive nature I'll start sleeping with it and my 2nd marriage will end ! Unfortunately, I just bought Civilization IV at a checkout line for only $5 and I feel the problems starting already!

Cool, Scott... I also play CoD - MW2. If you have that game, shoot me a friend invite - TG Ruissimo is my callsign.

Matt... be careful buddy. A very good friend of mine just sold his xbox and even stopped posting on our gaming forums 4 years after joining. He had over 18,000 (you read that right) posts, and logged on every single day for 4 years.

He had to give it up because his personal life was suffering. Gotta focus on that real life! Me...? I only play once a week, Wed nights usually, and only for an hr or two.

were is intellivision and colecovision??
