Watched an NFL football game last weekend where the TV presentation was sponsored by Genesis.
I had a course in marketing at the Wharton business school and frankly I found their marketing approach to be extremely weak and probably ineffective.
One of the commercials showed Korean children playing tennis and ended with a Korean tennis professional who has sort of become a superstar in that country. I wonder how many people not very interested in tennis would have recognized him, and what kind of testimonial for car would that be anyway?
The other ad was extremely amateurish in my opinion.
Any other opinions out there or comments on whether Genesis is promoting themselves in the right direction. I really don't remember what Lexus did to attain such high standing in the market.
