  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Genesis badge

I've seen a lot of Genesis that already have the emblem on the wheel and the back. I was wondering if it's only certain models that have that? Or is that just an option chosen when you buy it new?

I sure that it's all aftermarket but I could be very wrong.

In North America, the wing badges are aftermarket.

However, some dealers are savvy and notice aftermarket trends, and will apply items like the wing badges on a car before it is sold. Just be careful as some dealerships also use this tactic as a huge mark up. I saw a window sticker once for a Coupe that had "Wing Package - $1,500" listed under "Additional Dealer Options".

The us uses the Hyundai lazy "H" as the badges.

The Korean Market uses the Wings

Changing H to Wings is easy and not too expensive - EXCEPT for the airbag.

The winged airbag - have to chage the airbag out from H to Wings. They make a "cover" for the "H"... but it does not look nearly as nice (yes, I have the cover).

you can also change the wheel caps to the wings for a few bucks.

Makes for a nice looking packags. Some dealers charged a lot of money for this "makeover"

Are you referring it the stick on emblem below? If so ebay has tons of them.
As mentioned the other requires purchasing the entire airbag.

My dealer wanted $60 for a trunk badge. When I laughed at them, they looked again and said $30......Got it here even cheaper.
If you are not going to pop for a new airbag, the "flying H" on the steering wheel looks better than the stick the overlay in the forum store.
If you are afraid to change the trunk badge yourself, the dealer will make you pay through the nose for them to do it.
