Do you mind telling me how much you paid for the new battery?
My 2015 Genesis sedan gave me a scare the other day with starting up. After playing an evening hockey game, I came out to the car which had been sitting in -15c temperatures for maybe an hour and a half and got what I think was a battery discharge warning when trying to start it. The car wouldn't start normally after a few tries, but then started when I gunned the gas pedal when starting. I don't ever remember having to do this before. We have somewhat extreme summer and winter temperatures here but the car only has about 35,000km/22,000mi on it and is garaged overnight. I am wondering if I should have to change the battery.
I will try to remember keeping the key 30ft away from the car but this is the first problem I've had.[/QUOTe
The Dealer charged over 500.00. If you have AAA
club they carry a battery for less will charge a little more to install in the trunk. AAA will not charge a service call if they install a battery that goes bad. And they come you to to install. May need some extra time for them to get the battery.
