Genesis Car Dealerships (Freestanding)

The dealership in Stamford doesn't carry Genesis anymore and they were affiliated with the one in Danbury. The new standalone dealership in Milford is only about 12 miles away. I'm in Bridgeport right off the parkway.

You're lucky. Didn't even realize Stamford had a dealer. It will be interesting to see how this plays out. I know that some of the dealerships have been taken away and some are being sold and moved in many cases. I think Key in Milford maybe trying to purchase the one in Meriden and move it to a new building in the Hartford area. That makes the most sense geographically. It's strange that they never had a Hartford dealer.

Connecticut is a small state and the two would cover the state reasonably well (yes...I was born and raised in Connecticut and lived and worked there) and be reasonably accessible to the highways. However, if Milford is the only Genesis dealer in southwest Connecticut, it could get overwhelmed with customers which could be self defeating. There are a lot of potential Genesis customers along the Long Island Sound coastline and in the suburbs in the southwest along the Merritt Parkway.

My wife is leasing a Volvo and she hates it. I do too. The electronics have sucked. It wasn't designed for CarPlay and she was without it for the first year or so. They lied about it having it and they wouldn't let her out of the contract. They lost all future business with us forever and we've shared with anyone who wants to listen.

I went to Genesis Fairfield and it's who we will buy from. They have a stand alone store and are no longer part of the Hyundai dealership (physically). Stunning building. They are driving the GV80 up to Berlin (35min) for her to test it out. I'm floored and she's so happy. That's how you change customers minds.

I spoke with the service department of Genesis of Loma Linda Ca. today. The service rep stated that they open in a new stand alone dealership on Monday. The rep put my name on a service call back list and stated that they will start calling people for service appointments on Monday. I will be using this dealership for service so, I'm hoping it will go well.

It will change names from Genesis of Loma Linda to Genesis of Ontario.

Edit to add. The Loma Linda location was a shared Hyundai/Genesis dealership.

Just watched the video and interesting in that the car I guess came from Genesis of Lexington Ky but that dealership is not on the list of stand alone dealerships. Is it not a stand alone?
