  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

There is a type of new club forming for 2015 Genesis. They have apparel and arrange meets. Its a new thing. I was informed by Rosen Hyundai, where I bought my car, that on Saturday the 22nd August there is a get together at the dealership. Any and all Genesis owners are welcome.

To find out more, contact:

Steve Dember

Sounds like it could be fun...to bad I live in WI. it would be a long drive :=)

Nice. Even though I am an Azera owner at the moment - I will probably stop in for this and check it out. It may also get me some more exposure to the Genny as well. Still at the top of my list for Feb-Apr timeframe.

I might stop by as well.....unless I go to The Chicago Air & Water Show to catch some "birds" in the air! ;)

What time meet starts?

Anyone wishing to attend, please call Steve at Rosen first. I think the date has been moved to the 19th.

Middle of the week vs. a weekend? That's gonna be a mistake. :/ But I will give him a call.

Did anybody attend this? I'm wondering if they went on a cruise during the day. I spotted a convoy of coupes and a couple G1's getting on 88 at Naperville Rd on a week day a few months back, wondering if this was them. One guy got out and set up a tripod just past the on-ramp and shot video of all the cars as they went up. Looked kinda cool, at least in passing. It may have been earlier in the year than August; but it was definitely a Genesis meet of some sort.

That really sounds cool! You folks are lucky; I'd love to have a Genesis meetup near where I live.

Same here. I live in Southern California and the Genesis sedan seems to still be rare here. Of the hundreds of cars I see on my 50 minute commute to and from work I usually see a max of one other Genesis and even that is sporadic. Where is everyone?

We can still do that race Aquineas to see which color is the fastest. I'll leave from South Florida, you leave from Texas and whomever clears the most ground when our paths cross is the winner :D

lol something tells me we'd end up in New Orleans and by the time we left it wouldn't matter ;-).

New Orleans is a wild and crazy city. One time I had a consulting contract in the CBD and my hotel was in the quarter. The contract was a 4 week deal, long enough that I needed to get some laundry done during my stay. The hotel staff informed me that there was a laundromat a couple of blocks away (didn't want to use the priced-by-article-of-clothing staff hotel services). I gathered my things early enough on a Sunday morning (7:00am or so) and walked to the laundromat. On the way there, I saw people going into a bar. Let that sink in for a minute. People going INTO a bar, at 7:00am on a Sunday.

If *that's* the strangest thing you saw, then you didn't get out much....

Strangest thing I ever saw was a large drunk woman hunkered down in the crab-walk position treating herself like an amusement park while simultaneously urinating into a men's restroom floor drain. But it was after 7:00am, definitely not a Sunday :D

Sure it was a woman? If you're down on Bourbon Street........

Maybe we can get Genny's to start flashing lights at one another as I used to do in my '74 Bimmer 2002....
