Genesis Coin Holder

I just realized that my Genny doesn't have a coin holder that I can find, or for that matter a folder money holder. Has anyone seen a coin holder drop-in for the ash tray which I certainly can do without? Of course, I'd want it to be lighted like the ash tray is. <G> I do not want to mess with my drink holder.

I took my ash tray itself out if where it sits. The metal thing used to snuff out cigarettes can be pried out with a small screwdriver. you then place the tray back in place and you have a lighted coin holder. I replaced the lighter with a usb power supply.

of course if you smoke and use the ash tray in your car, this wont help you much

I took the wonderful coin holder out of my wife's old Buick Park Ave Ultra which is divided into nickels, dimes and quarters. I just plop it in the console. Maybe there's a better place for it, but, it works for me. I don't have an occasion to use it except for a couple or 3 times/mo.

No false starts, just some bone yard time.
I found this on this site some time back when I was looking for something to do with the ashtray.
Gotta grab all you can a far as the Southern philosophy goes.
You only go round once. Of course the little woman don’t quite see it that way, but what the hell I’m just about always in trouble anyway.

I ordered one off eBay and hopefully it will fit. I believe the Toyota part number is 554500C010. If you search you see it listed for the Avalon but also for a lot of other vehicles which should make it easier to find either on eBay or at a junk yard. Check out

I am also curious about the one for GM vehicles but I didn't have the nerve to try it. It looks like the Toyota part and is available everywhere. If anyone tries it please post your results. For example look at this one:

Now anyone looking to replace the ash tray with a coin holder knows just what to look for.
I found one at a U-Pull’em bone yard. Paid a buck for it.
