  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I know this isn't a huge deal to most but personally, I only have two gripes with the Genesis. The first one has been talked about ad nauseum so I won't waste anymore time on it.

The second however, is the color selection, mainly because they don't quite have the color/combo I want. If Hyundai could give me the Cabernet Red with Black interior, or make the Titanium Gray as dark as BMW's gray then I'd be in absolute heaven. I love black on black but a black exterior is so tough to keep clean.

I agree. I absolutely want Black interior and there are only a couple of exterior color choices. Maybe the 2012 model will offer more exterior choices for Black interior.

I have Cabernet Red with Black Interior. I'd rather have the parchment color to be honest. My Genesis is from 09' though. In my opinion...the red is the best you can get. It has a dual personality. In the sunshine - the paint job is a mirror finish with lots of metallic flakes. When overcast, it looks flat and dark.

I still like Cadillac's Red Crystal Tintcoat much better. I am in love with that color.

Ah that must be it, you can't even configure a red/black Genesis on Hyundai's site. I'd love that color combo in the '12s. If you get some free time could you post pics?

I have the Cabernet red with black leather 2010 4.6 Tech. That is the exact combination I wanted. It was available but not widespread in 2010 models. I found mine on the boat coming in after an extensive search in the eastern half of the U.S. turned none up in that combination for any engine or equipment combination. I waited about 3 weeks for it to clear customs and be delivered to the dealer. Many thanks to Hyundai corporate for making that happen. I think the reason that there are not more combinations is because inventory costs money and in order to cut costs to the bone and make the Genesis the exceptional value that it is, there is limited choice in model, engine, exterior and interior colors and optional equipment. Yes you can order a BMW in several more possible combinations but we are not paying BMW prices now, are we.

Sorry - I don't have any pics to upload. I find it amusing that I want the opposite of you want... Red with parchment. I am just not a fan of black. I do have brown leather on my dash...but the rest is black.

One of the changes for 2011 or 2012 (I can't remember which) was that they removed a few color combinations. You could possibly get a used one...

Maintenance is a part of it, I don't feel like having to keep the parchment clean. The biggest thing is that I think the interior in all-black looks amazing.

Yeah, it looks like used will be the only way to get one. I don't understand why they would get rid of color combos, especially when they don't have a full line luxury brand yet. If I can't get a choice in the car, at least give me one in the color.
