Hey Guys,

I am looking into buying this (almost decided), but I am confused on what color I should get, my personal favorite (on almost everything) is black (I test drove a black as well), but I would like to get opinion from other people (guys/gals both) what do they think is good.

Some of the other colors I saw on the dealership are Lime Green and Grey, those look nice too...........

I am perfectly open to options as personally I am myself confused :)

I've had a few black cars and my Dodge Dakota was my last one. I won't do black again. Way to hot in the summer and extremely hard to keep clean. This time around I went with the Silverstone. It doesn't "look" as dirty as fast as some of the darker colors. And it stays cooler in the summer which means the A/C has to work a little less hard. Yeah, maybe the color is a bit boring but for me it really works on this car with the big 18" aluminum wheels. Honestly, on this car I like all of the colors and I don't think you can really go wrong with any one of them. Although I would definitely stay away from "Red me a ticket Red". This car already stands out enough. :)

Green makes the car really stand out. As you can see, you will a wide range of answers. It is a personal choice.

Things I think about are heat and cleaning. I tend to not choose the darker exterior colors for the heat factor. Ever put your hand on a black car in the Florida sumer? Black is hard to keep clean from what I hear. I just don't have th time to wash my car every week. When black is clean, it looks sharp! It really boils down to personal preference and importance of the different factors.

Good luck on your choice, you'll love your car!

Thanks guys, I agree that black is cool when its clean but it requires extra attention.

I am leaning more towards silver now :)

By the way I live in Toronto, Canada.

I have 2 silver cars....They never look dirty...great color...easy color....very popular color....Used the be the most popular....not sure if it still is or not.

Hey Guys,

Ok, so I started this thread to get opinions about what color I should be getting other than the one I like the most BLACK.

I checked silver and black both together at a dealership and black just stands out, so I ended up getting Black :)

Thanks for everybody's input.

silver is the easiest to keep clean. Me personally, Id go with a graphite. Not sure if thats the actual color name but the DARK grey color. That, or the black.

Just me though

I have a red one....V6 Grand Touring and I love it! I traded in a black car...Mazda 6. I LOVE a black car...but it really shows so much dirt. If you don't mind washing it all the time and hand drying it (otherwise it leaves watermarks) then go for it...black looks really classy. But as for me...I had enough. I live in an apt. bldg w/no access to a hose to wash the car myself and here in Southern CA, it gets sooooo hot...and black just really holds the heat and smolders in the summertime, even with window tinting. I also have had a white Mazda 6 right before the black one and loved the white too...but it also shows alot of dirt. I'm finding the red does not show the dirt too much and besides...I'm a red-hot kind of girl!! People at work were not surprised that I got the red car, they said it was so much more MY personality than the black car. :-)

I would get the Black Metallic, no doubt about it.

It is the hardest color for police laser to pick up. White, silver and red are easy. Plus black adds a lot of class to the car :D

I went with the silver. For me, it's a nice half way house between looks and ease of maintenance. It was also the only one the dealer had with the brown leather / black interior.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Get the Track model in Yellow! Stands out, cooler in the summer, and looks good. Certain cars I always see as a particular color. Miata's should be red, F150 trucks should be white, and the Genesis Coupe should be yellow :)

Enjoy whatever you choose!

White F-150? No no- Red. Black or Line Rock Green is sharp too.

Right. My Track looks GREAT in that color and (like my previous car-same color) even if I don't wash it for a week it doesn't look dirty. Black always seems to have a visible film of dust on it. Just ordered Zaino. BTW, I don't think the color is boring at all.

If I had to pick my favorite color, it would have to be black. However, for cars, and this one in particular, I might have to go with white. I am also contemplating buying this car and my first inclination was to go with black. However, after looking at some cars on the street, I do realize that black cars do look dirty a lot.

Right now I'm thinking of going white or silver with my genesis coupe.

We have silver truck, silver P5 and traded a silver RAV4 in on the coupe. The light blue we got is nice break from all the silver but has the dirt hiding qualities of silver...not that that much is allowed to accumulate, lol.

Woohoo! A multiple pg thread...not many of these on here:D

Just purchased the 2011 3.8 Track with grey exterior and black interior. Looks absolutely stunning, hoping to have it by the end of the week. Can't wait!
