  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Published: 23 01 2009

The Automobile Journalists Association of Canada (AJAC) has announced that the 2009 Canadian Car of the Year will be either the Hyundai Genesis, Mazda6 or Toyota Corolla.

The results were released by international accounting firm KPMG, which secretly tabulates the results of journalists’ votes from the annual three-day test event held at Niagara-On-The-Lake, Ontario, in late October.

Also announced, the winner of the 2009 Canadian Utility Vehicle of the Year will come from the Ford Flex, Mercedes-Benz M-Class and Subaru Forester; the Best New Design will be either the Honda Fit, Jaguar XF Supercharged or Volkswagen Passat CC; and, the Best New Technology winner will be General Motors’ OnStar Stolen Vehicle Slowdown, Infiniti’s Around View Monitor or Mitsubishi’s Super-All-Wheel Control

All winners will be declared February 11, 2009 during press preview day for the 2009 Canadian International Auto Show in Toronto.

AJAC’s annual Canadian Car of the Year awards program was created by our automotive journalists in 1985 for the purpose of providing consumers with a valuable resource to assist them while shopping for new vehicles. All information is available at ajac.ca.
