  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Genesis Front Camera

Thanks for the links above. Has anyone poked around behind the grille to see if the factory wiring is in place for the front camera?

With the camera switch replacing the current park sensor switch, it could prove to be a nightmare getting the whole thing to work if factory wiring isn't in place.

I've been informed that the front wiring is in place.

Looks to me you're the best candidate for this mod since you have all the insights in place.;)

If someone figures out how to access the engineering menu on my 2013 RSpec I will be a Guinea pig.

Same here, if I can access that engineer option on the "Premium" package, I would test things out too.

if we can confirm wiring ill order the camera and grille. should just be one plug?

I'm looking into it on the Korean boards. I am a Korean citizen but have lived in Canada my entire life so it's still rusty. Better than nothing. Here are some pictures I found that may assist others.

After seeing this picture in the words of Shark Tank "I'm out"
If it's true plug and play I'll consider but no splicing/soldering/etc to a new car.

That picture didn't have a description on the page I found it on so we'll have to see. I doubt soldering is req'd as from what I've read on Korean boards is that they're just plug and play + eng. menu.

So i think we are one step closer. I pulled my trunk apart and got the module out. Where they soldered the wires are empty spots on the plug so that is the correct placement but i don't know why the soldered them. Now that being said, we know there is a switch on the dash we need, but what plugs in there? Where does the camera go? To the switch? And then the module? We just need to know what the missing link is. I doubt the camera runs all the way to the trunk.

if you have a v8 that won't work because the button are different, but since they all have a switch i assume we have to have it. but what else is there besides camera and switch? is there another harness to take it to the module in back?

Did anyone give us an insight on this front camera?

I used to have a 2012 5.0 and now I drive a 2013 3.8 Tech package.

The 2013 comes with totally different entertainment unit.
I don't know how to get into the engineering menu.

Did anyone get it working on 2013 and above?
