  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Genesis GV60 vs Tesla Model Y - It’s close, but there’s a clear winner

I plan to try the Hankook iON EVO AS SUV tires, which are specifically made for EVs and have gotten great reviews.

I'm curious about the Pirelli Scorpion Zero All Season once the OEM tires wear out. They are expensive but have good reviews, especially for handling.

Bolding your text doesn't make it any more relevant. Most of your posts in this thread have been tangents to the original topic. There is evidence for and against using track mode all over the internet from experiences of people who own those vehicles and have used them in both settings.

Either way you are bringing the experience of driving a M3P into a discussion about MY vs GV60. Completely irrelevant. There are plenty of Tesla forums you can post that content to.

Now let's stop beating a dead horse and just move on.
Track mode functionality is the the same on both 3 and Y, but you wouldn’t know that because you’ve never owned a Performance Tesla.

Look, I chose the GV60 in the first place, so I understand its strengths and weaknesses. Some here don’t want to admit that it actually has weaknesses, but it does. Doesn’t mean I don’t like the car because I wouldn’t have suggested it to my wife in the first place otherwise and we certainly wouldn’t have bought one.

Tell you what: stop taking out of your a** on the topic of Tesla, and I'll stop correcting you.

What are you talking about? This thread is discussing an article the OP posted comparing the GV60 to the MY. You don't and never have owned a MY and the GV60 isn't even your car.

You have primarily come in here to post how your M3 is better than the GV60 when nobody is asking for that comparison.

Isn't there a Tesla forum you can go brag about your M3P and how great Tesla is?

Give it a rest.

Guys...lets drop this argument and leave it as friends. In general, this forum has been a friendly place for people to share their experiences and knowledge. This thread is now getting out of control.

Sal: you are both the administrator and starter of this thread. My suggestion is to lock the thread and lets move on.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Both vehicles have their strengths and weaknesses.

IMO the GV60 is more traditionally luxurious and offers a unique take on the sport/luxury CUV. Its DCFC speed is amazing and when charging is more widely available and consistent will be a good road tripper. We really like ours, and if we’re going to a nice dinner with friends, it’s what we drive.

The Model Y is more practical with far more cargo space and is much less expensive. It has lots of little things that make it very easy to live with, but could be improved with a more compliant ride and better NVH control. Its market success demonstrates that it fits a wide swath of the buying public’s needs.

Personally I like what I’ve seen of the upcoming revisions to the GV60, and that larger battery will be a nice change. I hope the suspension tuning is improved as well to make the Performance version better fit its nomenclature.

Having driven the Highland Model 3, the changes are truly impressive, addressing virtually every weakness of the previous version. When the Model Y Juniper update hits the road in the US, with all the same updates made to the Highland 3 plus an actual turn signal stalk (LOL) I predict continued runaway success for the Model Y.
