  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hah! I just bought mine in Charlotte and Gold Coast Silver was definitely my favorite, but I couldn't find one in the standard trim. Awesome combo!

Had to opt for the next best color as I needed to purchase this year.

Love the car. Only gripes are no wireless carplay, I can't get lane change to work, and the message when you turn on the car takes too long.

Other than that, it drives beautifully. Far superior comfort to my Tesla Model 3 Performance or previous gen G80.
Sweet, She Looks Great! The grey would have been my next choice if they hadn't found the GCS. I also like the green based on the pics I've seen. Enjoy her, she's a sweet ride and I discover new features almost every day. One of these days I'll get around to reading the manual! Lol

The trick to the lane change is that you hold it at the first position until the line on the dash turns green on the side that you are changing to, then it will change lanes but don't push it all the way so that the blinker stays on.
Hold what? The turn signal?

I see there is a green mirrors icon on the dash when in the highway.

Sorry, yes the turn signal. I was assuming you were already attempting to change lanes with the turn signal but was pushing it too far. How were you attempting the auto lane change?

If the center of your dash is showing the car with surrounding vehicles and lane lines then you will see the lane line light green when it is ready to change lanes. Cruise control must be on.

Thanks. Yes, I just put the turn signal all the way to the lane I want to go and it will just blink indefinitely.

That’s how it worked on my last Tesla but obviously not how this one works 😂

Don't push it all the way, stop at the first position, there are two positions on the blinker the first is for it to blink just as long as you hold it, the second is to turn it on. Only go to the first position to change lanes automatically.

Thanks! Will try tomorrow

Just make sure to hold the blinker at that first position until the car changes lanes, if you let it go it will not change lanes.

Actually, you can let it go once you get the "green" blinking indicator.

Isn't that as the car changes lanes? I never look at the dash when I do this as I'm looking at traffic, mirrors, etc. Once it begins the change I let go but it has to start the change of lanes otherwise it turns itself off.

Yes...your are absolutely correct...as it's starts to change lanes. Just wanted to clarify one doesn't have to hold it in the "first position" the entire time. A quick look down and you'll see the "green" arrows showing it has started the process.

Update: While Genesis has not yet announced the GV80 colors for '22, the dealer told me that GCS was the slowest selling of the colors, and that it had been slated to be discontinued. Hopefully, they are wrong, as I think it's a beautiful color and love the way it changes in different lighting conditions. The Z1556 exterior was a dealer assigned code for the wheels, which they had powder coated in gloss black.
I drove a Black GV80 for about 4 months, GCS for about 2 months, and Himalayan Gray for about 4 months.

I have gotten more compliments in the GCS than the other two colors combined. I specifically remember I was OUTSIDE of my car about 30 feet away at the beach when a really attractive trophy wife jogging by stopped to ask if that was my car, and complimented it. I also had a woman on the street pull up next to me, gesture to roll my window down to ask how I like the car because she loves the look.

To be fair, every person that complimented the GCS color was old. Like 50+. Seems like a really senior-friendly color.

You sound like a kid working at a car dealer. Yes, we are sooooo old @ 50 that we are hoping to be buried in the cars, in the giant mausoleums that we've built and can also afford, with the tremendous wealth that we've accumulated! 😃

In the 2 months I've owned the car, I've only seen two others in North Charleston and both were in GCS. The 1st was a 2.5T driven by a senior (70+) and the 2nd was recently @ my local Lowe's store where the cart boy asked about and complimented me on it, on my way inside. When I came out, I immediately spotted it pulling in and went over to take a look. I checked the back and it was a 3.5T with a speciality tag that had a religious cross on it.

I spoke with the 50+ woman and she said she has a blast with it, as folks pull up behind her in their fast cars and see the tag, then swing around next to her and rev their engines as a joke. So she slips it into sport mode and blows them away when the light changes. She said they see the tag and assume she's some sweet little old lady, when in reality she's a Metal Head that likes to put on some Black Sabbath and Drive Fast! Lol 😁

As a new owner, I really was curious to know what that sign is supposed to mean. I always see it on orange. Can you shed some light?
That's the stop-start enable/disable switch. That tab disables it.

@crunk For the message taking too long, check to see if you are at the latest Nov '21 software update. I had the same issue, but once I installed the updated the confirm button on the welcome screen enables significantly faster!

Oh you mean the feature that tries to save gas by turning the gas on and off during stops?

Oh I love that. Don't get me wrong. I did not mean 50 in any derogatory term. It's not like I'm not going to grow old too. I am 100% comfortable with getting old and there's no shame in that. It's all in the attitude. "Old farts" will take a walker to yell at the younger generation to get off the lawn. Young 50-year-olds will rip heavy metal music in their GV80 and burn little shits in Chargers.
