  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I think most automotive enthusiasts know that many of the vehicles we're seeing today were being developed up to and over five years ago. So it's very likely that Hyundai is already planning the second generation Genesis..

Seeing how things are going so far - what do YOU think Hyundai may be looking to address with the next generation Genesis?

For sure, they will add to the next model year those items that just didn't make the cut this time, like the variable cruise control. They may make "run flats" standard and get rid of the compact spare, which would create a cavernous trunk. I think they will also quickly follow, due to current market conditions, with a world class hybrid offering.

Good thinking.. Variable Cruise Control, Run Flat Tires and a Hybrid version of the Genesis... What types of things are found on a 7-Series BMW and S-Class Mercedes that you'd like to see?

Ummm, please don't make run flats standard. I HATE them. They handle and ride like crap compared to other non-runflat tires of similar cost.

As for what they will add/improve, I'm guessing:

-Direct Injection to both engines (approx. 310hp for the V6 and 400 for the V8)
-A better finished trunk ;)

....too soon to guess anything else IMO.

If gas prices stay high, they may decide to bring the 3.3 liter V6 engine as an option after all.

I imagine many owners would like to see an adjustable suspension, so they can toggle between sport mode and comfort mode.
