  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I am seriosly considering a Genesis after 2 Legends, 3 and 5 series and M35. Big issue for me on highway cruising is reaction to crosswind. M35, Legends and BMW's were great with little effect but Camry platform-based Lexus like ES and RX crab all over the lane in strong crosswinds. How is the Genesis? I'm not sure I understand the geometry of the double-knuckle front upper wishbone joint that Audi and Genesis use but I am concerned that there will be crab-steer in crosswinds. Feedback please.

On my recent trip out to Phoenix and back, I had very high winds out in West Texas. High enough that Trans Mountain Road in El Paso was closed "due to high winds". My Genesis did feel the winds, but so did every other car on I-10. Nothing bad enough that felt dangerous. Matter of fact, I thought it took those winds pritty good.

Later in the trip, I drove through four dust storms, between Flagstaff and Albuquerque, and the Genesis was rock steady.

Genesis is much better than my Continental in cross winds, and about equal to my former MKZ AWD in those same winds.
