  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Ahh.... Motortrends review and cruise:)

What are these two USA spec (speedo and license plates) Genesis' doing in Germany and France?

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
One of the pics shows a speedometer at 150 mph...and if you look to the left side of the same pic, it also shows the remaining distance (based on available fuel) at 64 miles! Hope he has a gas station near by! Wonder how the car handles at 150 mph??

They talk in the article about the Hyundais' becoming un-easy or without confidence at speed. Of course no problem in the U.S., but that would be cool all the same.

At 3000 rpm in top, the Genesis is cruising at 110 mph, and could do it all day long. Wind and road noise are impressively hushed, and the car feels surprisingly relaxed.

It doesn't take too much of a gap in the traffic for the Genesis to surge to 130, then 140 mph. We saw an indicated 150 mph a couple of times.

At these speeds, however, the Genesis' demeanor gets a nervy edge. It feels like it's balanced on the balls of its feet, moving around on the road in a way German cars never do. You need to be extra delicate with your steering inputs above 120 mph, and careful with your braking, especially if you're ambushed by a slow moving car midway through a fast sweeper. And speaking of brakes, the standard Hyundai stoppers are marginal when you start hustling the Genesis hard. A set of Brembos would be nice, please.

I normally vacation in France every two to four years. Last time was in May 2006. (I did go to Sicily in January 2008, but that was not vacation, but family business). Don't think I can make it in 2010, but perhaps I will go in either June or September of 2011. I always lease (note; Lease, not rent) a Renault Laguna www.renaultusa.com and never had any problems in 20 years of leasing with them. Could also lease a Peugeot from www.autofrance.net but the Peugeot costs more to lease than an equal Renault. (Would love to lease a Peugeot 607, beautiful car, but just can't justify the cost for the three to seven weeks I spend over there). I always get a brand new car, registered to me, at my USA address. When I turn the car back in, they sell it for me. Works out GREAT.
